The NBA season and the NBA Draft have come and gone but that doesn't mean we have to wait until the new season to get our basketball fix.

• The NBA 2K25 Summer League kicks off this week with the 2024 rookie class and top prospects battling it out for the Summer League Championship.

This is where players may not have been lottery picks or even picked at all to showcase their skills for their team to obtain a roster spot in the upcoming 2024/2025 NBA season. Let's kick things off with a matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and the Washington Wizards.

Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Summer League Team Analysis

Oklahoma City Thunder (0-0)?are looking poised to be the top team in the NBA this season however, they are looking at their future stars with the start of some summer league action this weekend. While their first-round draft pick Nikola Topic will require some time to recover from injury, the Thunder get to see what the rest of their young stars can do on the court.

They've already got a glimpse of what's to come in the NBA 2K25 Summer League with four previous summer league games.

• This summer, the Thunder are averaging 90 points per game on 42.1% shooting while allowing just 84.7 points per game on 40.4% shooting.
• Their leading scorer has been 2022 11th-round draft pick French forward Ousmane Dieng with 15.7 points per game

The Thunder also has been getting good production from their supporting cast as well with 2024 2nd round pick Ajay Mitchell who's averaging 15.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game along with Dillon Jones being their third double-digit scorer this summer.

Now that the Thunder has shut down Dieng for the remainder of the summer league it'll be up to Ajay Mitchell and the rest of this team to pick up the slack as they head to Las Vegas.

If they can keep their high-tempo scoring up they could make this a tough game first summer league game for the Raptors and get their first victory.

Toronto Raptors (0-0)?are a team that is certainly looking to rebuild around their youth and they have a ton of exciting players to do that with. The Raptors' summer league cast is highlighted by Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji, No. 19 pick of the 2024 draft Ja'Kobe Walter, and Jonathan Mogbo.

The Raptors have one of the more experienced summer league squads coming into this tournament.

• Gradey Dick started 17 games last season for the Toronto Raptors averaging 21.1 minutes, 8.5 points shooting 42.5% from the floor and 36.5% from 3-point range per game.
• Ochai Agbaji has played in 137 NBA games in his career he played two years for the Jazz and the last season for the Raptors where he played in 27 games averaging 23.6 minutes, 6.7 points per game on 39.1% shooting.

The NBA experience for the Raptors will take them far in this tournament even without having a lottery draft pick on their roster. The combination of NBA experience and the young core of Walter, Jamison Battle, and Joseph Girard III has the opportunity to show out in the first game of this tournament and take it to the Thunder and get their first victory of the tournament.
