Final Four Player Props for NCAA Championship Game

March Madness basketball pitch

The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament title game matchup is set. Connecticut and San Diego State University advanced with two very different types of victories on Saturday in the Final Four.

The Aztecs survived via a buzzer-beater by Lamont Butler, defeating upstart Florida Atlantic University, 72-71. In contrast, UConn suppressed Miami with the weight of their defensive performance, leading most of the way from the six-minute mark of the first half. The Hurricanes struggled to score inside, struggled to score from beyond the three-point arc, and struggled to stay focused. The Huskies passed their Final Four test, 72-59.

NCAA basketball Oddsmakers have Connecticut -345 to win Monday’s national title game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. That means you’ll need to wager $345 to win $100 on the Huskies. San Diego State is a 7.5 point underdog according to FanDuel.

But if you’re not invested in who wins or loses, or don’t think the Aztecs can win as the longshot (+270 from FanDuel), the NCAA Championship Game player prop bets may be for you.

Connecticut Huskies Player Props for National Title Game

We’ve consulted DraftKings Sportsbook for March Madness final player props odds.

Alex Karaban Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made +145

According to DraftKings, you can get +145 on Karaban making two threes or more in the title game. Here’s the thing: Karaban has made at least two three-pointers in three of the Huskies five games in the tournament. He was 2-for-6 beyond the three-point line in each of Connecticut’s last two games. This isn’t a stretch: Karaban was a 40% shooter from three-point range on the season. There’s a history of freshmen coming up big in national finals games in March Madness, and maybe Karaban is the man for 2023.

Tristen Newton Over 4.5 Assists -145

Here’s one we’re pretty confident about: Newton is averaging 5.8 assists per game in March Madness. He’s superb at finding his teammates on the way to the hoop, and is always thinking pass first. You’ll have to bet $145 to win $100, but this one seems like a nifty way to stack some cash up in your betting coffers. Check with your favorite sports betting app to get the best odds on this player prop.

Lamont Butler To Score First Basket of the Game +700

If you think SDSU will pick up where they left off, then maybe a $50 bet on Butler to make the first basket of the national championship is for you. At +700, you’d win $350 if Butler makes the first hoop on Monday night in Houston.

Matt Bradley, Leading Scorer of the Game +290

We feel like the oddsmakers have allowed themselves to be fooled by Bradley. In the Sweet Sixteen and the Elite Eight, the San Diego State guard scored a combined eight points on a dismal 3-of-17 shooting. But, Bradley averaged 13.5 points in the first two games of the tournament, and stepped up with 21 in Saturday’s win over FAU. He shot 50% on eight shots from beyond the arc, and Bradley has a 14.9 PPG average in his college career. He’s capable of going off in the title game, and if he shoots from long-range on Monday like he did against Florida Atlantic, Bradley could be the player of the game.
