The Seattle Mariners are coming off a series defeat to the Cleveland Guardians when they head down to South Florida to kick off their three-game series with the Miami Marlins.

The Mariners who are still at the top of the AL West will be looking to take this series from the Marlins before they head back home with some momentum going into the new week.

Meanwhile, the Miami Marlins, have defied the odds in their two-game winning streak with back-to-back walk-off wins against the St. Louis Cardinals which has now given the Marlins 7 walk-off wins this season which is the most in a single season in MLB history.

They will be looking to possibly make it three walk-off victories in a row when they play host to the visiting Seattle Mariners on Friday night.

Seattle Mariners (44-33) came into this series with wins in seven out of their last 10 games but have lost back-to-back matchups against the Cleveland Guardians. They lost two of three from the Guardians losing their first series in the last two weeks.

However, the Mariners now get a chance to right their wrongs when they take on the worst team in the National League the Miami Marlins.

The Mariners certainly haven't been struggling at the plate as they've been averaging 4.8 runs and 1.4 home runs per game over their last 5 games. It's been their dreadful pitching that can't keep them off the scoreboard.
