2022-23 College Basketball Championship Odds

Although Kansas managed to win the 2022 edition of March Madness, they have not done quite enough to impress the sportsbooks at the time of writing. The Jayhawks find themselves joint-fourth in terms of outright odds but this could offer value at the same time.

Because if you fancy Kansas to repeat their efforts of 12 months ago, then +1200 is a particularly good price for them to do so. Then again, they say that is hard to win this tournament and even more difficult to defend it.

Which means if the repeat is not on in 2023, just who will claim the honors for themselves? Those same sportsbooks have a hunch that Houston will eventually come out on top but they are not necessarily overlooking Alabama either.

Texas Current Odds
Houston +2000
Alabama +450
Purdue +650
Kansas +1000
UCLA +1000
Gonzaga +1200

Kansas Stats

  • The Jayhawks have won March Madness on no fewer than four occasions. Their 2022 success can also be added to triumph in 1952, 1988, and 2008.
  • Four outright wins seem impressive enough and so do 11 final appearances. Unfortunately for them, seven of those 11 subsequently ended in defeat.
  • While Kansas can certainly be considered something of a Final Four mainstay. They have reached this part of the bracket on no fewer than 16 occasions.

Will Kansas Win March Madness?

Considering that Kansas are the defending champions, there is every chance that they can go far in the 2023 edition of March Madness. The big question of course is whether or not they can come out on top.

The sportsbooks reckon at current odds an appearance in the Final Four is almost a certainty but a lot will depend on who their potential opponents are. If the draw goes their way, a second successive final is not out of the question either.

Should that be the case, then who knows what happens in the 2023 March Madness final? The Jayhawks certainly can make it back-to-back tournament wins but whether they actually do or not we will have to wait and see.

Where to bet on Kansas during March Madness

Now that this article has whetted your March Madness appetite, a wager on the Jayhawks’ fortunes should not be far away either. Will you back them to go all the way in 2023 or do you have your eye on another college instead?
