UFC Vegas 305 Best Underdog Bets

Kai Kara-France vs Steve Erceg Betting Odds and Prediction

Best Underdog Odds: Kai Kara-France (+150) BetMGM Sportsbook

Kai Kara-France is finally back in action after a 14-month layoff due to some injury setbacks and he comes back to fight against the hometown favorite and former title challenger Steve Erceg.

Kara-France has now lost back-to-back fights but is coming off an egregious split-decision defeat to Amir Albazi.

  1. Kara-France is now 7-4 in his UFC career with 2 KO/TKO.
  2. He has finished 14 of his 24 victories with 11 of them coming by KO/TKO and 3 of them coming by submission.

In this matchup against Erceg, Kara-France needs to what he does best which is to use his speed and power to keep Erceg from just crashing forward and trying to take the fight to the canvas.

  • If Kara-France can keep this fight at distance he will be the one to land the cleaner and more powerful strikes to where he can potentially sit down Erceg or do enough to get the nod on the judge's scorecards to get back into the win column.

Ricardo Ramos vs Josh Culibao Betting Odds and Prediction

Best Prop Odds: Ricardo Ramos (+130) Bet365 Sportsbook

Ricardo Ramos comes into this fight with losses in each of his last two fights and he is looking to get himself back on track this weekend when he takes on Josh Culibao in hostile territory.

  1. That now puts him at 7-5 in his 12 fights with the UFC.
  2. Ramos has fought the who's who of the bantamweight and featherweight divisions since his UFC debut fighting the likes of Said Nurmagomedov, Lerone Murphy, Bill Algeo, Charles Jourdain, and Julian Erosa.

Ramos has had some bad luck in recent fights getting submitted in back-to-back fights via first-round guillotine. Now, he takes on Culibao who's primarily a striker and will be looking to keep this fight on the feet.

  • This gives Ramos the advantage in grappling where he can take Culibao down and dominate him on the canvas. Culibao has struggled against lesser grapplers in the past like Danny Silva who took him down four times en route to a split-decision defeat.

As long as Ramos can avoid spending long periods on the feet where Culibao will have the power advantage, Ramos can take this fight to the canvas and potentially get the submission victory and get back into the win column this weekend.

Jesus Aguilar vs Stewart Nicoll Betting Odds and Prediction

Best Prop Odds: Jesus Aguilar (+195) DraftKings Sportsbook

Jesus Aguilar comes into hostile territory on the heels of back-to-back wins for the first time in his UFC career when he takes on promotional newcomer Stewart Nicoll.

  1. Aguilar now sits at 2-1 in his UFC career with one of those wins coming by a 17-second knockout.
  2. Of his 10 pro wins, 1 of them have come by knockout with 6 others coming by submission.

Aguilar may be small in stature but he makes up for it with his toughness, grit, and his ability to fight through adversity much like he did in his last fight against Mateus Mendonca. He has deceptive power in his hands despite only having 1 KO/TKO on his resume but his bread and butter lies with his grappling.

He utilized his grappling to his advantage in his most recent victory and that is something he definitely should lean on in this matchup against Nicoll. Nicoll on the other is very well-rounded and has a ton of pop in his strikes.

  • However, Aguilar has shown the durability to stay in the fight on the feet to where he can crash forward and get into the clinch and take the fight to the canvas. If he is able to do that he can give Nicoll his first professional loss and extend his winning streak to 3 in a row.
