The UFC heads to Denver, Colorado for the first time since 2018 for a jam-packed UFC Denver Fight Night event.
Headlining this fight card is the former UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas who will be taking on short-notice replacement Tracy Cortez in an exciting women's flyweight matchup. Namajunas will be looking to continue her winning ways in her new weight class meanwhile, Cortez will be looking to secure the biggest of her career when she steps inside the Octagon this weekend.
With that said, we take a look at this main card fight and give out our prediction and pick for this Dober-Silva matchup.
Drew Dober (27-13)?the crowd favorite was getting ready for a fight against Mike Davis only for that fight to be canceled after Davis suffered an injury during fight camp. As game as Dober is, he accepted a fight against a dangerous fight Jean Silva to remain on the fight card to fight in front of his hometown crowd.
Dober is coming off a tough-luck loss to surging contender Renato Moicano in his last fight. Against Moicano, Dober had him hurt but Moicano's grappling was the difference maker in that fight.
Luckily, Dober gets a fight against Silva who will give him the striking match that he wants.
In this matchup, Dober will have the upper hand in terms of experience against the higher level of competition as well as fighting at altitude.
If Dober can weather the early storm from Silva and drag this fight into the later rounds we can expect a potential late finish from Dober as he gets back on track this weekend in Denver, Colorado.
Jean Silva (13-2)?has taken the UFC by storm ever since he stepped foot inside the Octagon for his UFC debut against Westin Wilson who he folded in the first round.
Silva stayed in Las Vegas after his fight at UFC 303 for a short-notice opportunity and he got his wish as he got the call to fill in for the injured Mike Davis to fight against Drew Dober at UFC Denver.
He is a part of the Fighting Nerds who have been taking the UFC by storm with the likes of Caio Borralho, Carlos Prates, and Mauricio Ruffy. Silva fights like his training partners, very aggressive with knockout power in every strike he throws.
However, this fight is at elevation and if Silva is not able to get the early finish he could be in for a very long fight.
It will be up to Silva to get after Dober early and if he's able to break him with his forward pressure he can get the early finish and extend his winning streak to 11 in a row.

This is a fantastic matchup for the main card for this UFC Denver Fight Night fight card in the lightweight division which should be an absolute barnburner.
Ultimately, we can expect this fight to not go the distance as both Dober and Silva will be searching for the knockout as soon as the Octagon door closes but it will be Dober's cardio and durability that will be the difference maker as he drowns Silva with his pace as the fight progresses eventually get the mid to late finish to get back into the win column this weekend.
FINAL DOBER-SILVA PICK & PREDICTION: DREW DOBER (-110)
