Philadelphia is currently sitting in third place in the Eastern Conference, despite losing three of their last five games. On Friday night the 76ers will take on the Knicks for the second time in less than a week hoping to settle the score after a 105-98 loss on February 5th.

Right now, the 76ers leading scorer Joel Embiid is listed as questionable with a foot injury for Friday’s matchup. If Embiid is not able to go the 76ers will look to their backup center Montrezl Harrell who is averaging 5.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game this year to fill the void.

Will the Knicks improve to 3-1 on the season against the 76ers?

The Knicks were able to knock off the 76ers just five nights ago. The Knicks have struggled with offensive consistency offensively at times this season, however, Julius Randle has averaged just over 25 points in the previous three matchups with the 76ers and I look for him to have another big night offensively especially if Embiid minutes are limited due to his lingering foot injury.

I also look for Jalen Brunson to have a good night he has averaged just over 22 points in the previous three games against the 76ers and depending on his play he could be the deciding factor in this game.

These two teams have met three times already this season with the Knicks topping the 76ers two games to one. The two teams met for the first time back in November when the Knicks were able to sneak bye with a 106-104 win. Things were a little different when the two met in December as the 76ers came out with the win 119-112.

Just five nights ago the two teams met on February 5 and the Knicks were able to walk away with an 11-point victory winning 108-97. All three games this season have been close competitive games and I expect to see the same tonight.

However, I think the best bet in this game is to take the 5.5 points and the Knicks to cover.

With the over under in this game at 226.5, I look back on the three previous matchups this season. The only time these two teams were able to score more than 226 combined was when they met back in December. I think tonight’s game is another low scoring game by NBA standards and I think the best bet here is to bet the under.

However, keep in mind both of these teams have the potential of throwing up 120 on each other and they could blow the over-under out of the water in this game.
