Celtics vs Wizards Game Preview

On Tuesday Night the Celtics travel to Capital One Arena in Washington to take on the Wizards. Boston looks like the best team in the NBA and looks to continue their surge right into the playoffs. Boston has won 7 of their last ten games behind Jayson Tatum's dominant performance, averaging just over 30 ppg. However, Tatum is listed probably with a hip injury, which could be a huge factor in this game.

Washington comes into this game struggling losing 8 of their last 10. If Washinton has any chance in this game, they are going to need another huge performance out of Jaylen Brown who is coming off a 41-point night, and win the rebounding battle.

Team Leaders

Boston is clearly the better team with or without Jayson Tatum. However, 11.5 points is a huge spread in any game and definitely makes you think twice. This spread Comes down to whether or not Tatum Plays tonight. If Tatum is in the lineup for Boston then the best bet is to take the Celtics to cover. If Tatum isn't able to play because of his hip I think Boston still wins this game However I think it's a much closer game.

With the money line being at -650 and for the Celtics to win, the odds are just too low to risk any money here. If you are a huge risk taker and betting on Tatum Not being in the lineup for the Celtics then by all means throw some money down on the Wizards and hope by some miracle they can pull off the win tonight.

An over/under at 224 in this game makes me very cautious. My gut tells me to bet the over as both teams should be able to score over 114 in this game. However, the Celtics have been very good all season winning games with defense when they have poor offensive nights. Also you never know what team is going to show up for the Wizards, are we going to get a Brown 40-point night or a 6-point night? I'm going to go with my gut on this one a say bet the over.
