The NBA season is officially over,?and the?BIG3 professional basketball league has begun its 6th season. The Season will run from June 18th util August 7th, followed by two weeks of postseason basketball. In this article, we will break down all the odds for the BIG3 futures, and who has the lowest and highest odds of winning a championship. To watch the BIG3 games this season, they are broadcasted on DAZN, the VYRE Network, BIG3 YouTube channel, CBS, and Paramount+. If you are looking for the best betting odds and stats, here is information to know:

What is the BIG3 League?

The BIG3 is a 3 on 3 Professional Basketball League founded by executive Jeff Kwatinetz and Musician Ice Cube. Stated earlier, it’s a short season, with 2 weeks of post season basketball. In addition, the league consists of NBA players who are either past NBA Champions, past All-Stars, and those who have years of experience in the NBA and international/college basketball. In addition, the rules of the BIG3 are different from the NBA and standard 3 on 3 basketball. Furthermore, the league consists of 12 teams, and the headquarters are in Los Angeles, California.

Clyde Dexter is the Commissioner, who played 15 years of professional basketball in the NBA. Also, the head coaches of the 12 teams are comprised of men and women, who are past basketball stars. The coaches include Michael Cooper, Reggie Theus, Rich Mahorn, Rick Barry, Gary Payton, Gilbert Arenas, George Gervin, Charles Oakley, Nancy Lieberman, Stephen Jackson, Julius Erving, and Lisa Leslie.

It’s important to note the BIG3 follows the Fireballl3 rules, rather than FIBA 3-3 rules. This includes four-point shots, something that the NBA does not have. In addition, the teams will play in Chicago, Illinois week 1, Dallas Texas week 2, New York, New York week 3, Memphis, Tennessee week 4, Boston, Massachusetts week 5, Charlotte, North Carolina Week 6, and Detroit Michigan, week 7. The teams included in the league are the 3 Headed Monsters, 3’s Company, Aliens, Ball Hogs, Bivouac, Enemies, Ghost Ballers, Killer 3s, Power, Tri State, Trilogy, and Triplets.

Favored Teams:

Trilogy +400

Trilogy currently has the least odds to win the 2023 BIG3 Championship. In fact, since the beginning of the league in 2017, Trilogy has won 3 Championships, including the inaugural season, and the past two seasons. Trilogy’s co-captains include Earl Clark, in addition to Amir Johnson, who played 14 seasons in the NBA. Other players include David Hawkins, Isaiah Briscoe, and James White.

All 5 of their players have a combined 24 NBA seasons under their belt, and both Earl Clark and Isaiah Briscoe are both averaging points in double-digits. Between the two of them, both players are shooting .500 and above from the three.? Although it’s early in the season, Trilogy has decent size between Johnson, Clark, and White. Briscoe played one season in the NBA, however he’s a shot creator and has nasty ball handling moves. The Trilogy won their week 1 matchup and defended their title against the Enemies 52-46. In fact, Earl Clark sealed the deal with the game winning shot, and added 25 points.

3 Headed Monsters +500

The 3 Headed Monsters, coached by Reggie Theus, are led by long time players Rashad Lewis and Reggie Evans. Rashad Lewis played 16 seasons and is an NBA Champion. Standing at 6 foot 10, Lewis was an incredible three-point shooter in the NBA and was part of the 2013 Miami Heat championship team.

Although this team has been decent since the start of the BIG3, they’ve never been able to win a championship. Reggie Evans is back from injury and averaged a triple double in their week 1 loss against Power. Between the two of them, and Kevin Murphy, they have the size to compete against other teams. The team added Jordan Adams and Robert Dozier in the draft, however, it will be interesting who can guard the 1, especially in iso situations.

Long shot: 3’s Company +900

3’s Company took a week one loss 50-47 against the Ghost Ballers. However, in this year’s draft they picked Hollis Thompson in the first round, who had an underwhelming first game. Michael Beasley was an NBA player for 11 seasons and was the former #2 overall pick. Standing at 6 foot 9, Beasley can play all positions, something that didn’t work so much in the NBA. In fact, he scored 21 points, grabbed 10 boards, and had 1 steal in week one against the Ghost Ballers. In addition, I love the addition of Mario Chalmers to Beasley, who was a 2-time NBA champion in 9 seasons. I can’t forget what Chalmers did in the 2008 NCAA championship, and with the addition of Brandon Rush, I think the 3’s have a shot of being decent this season.

Keep an eye out for: Bivouac +1100

Bivouac had an impressive week on win against the Triplets 51-47.? Gary Payton is the coach of this team and is believed to be one of the best point guards in NBA history.? This year, they selected Ryan Hollins, and Shannon Shorter in the 2 rounds of the 2023 BIG3 Draft.? Although Shorter didn't have a role in week 1, Ryan Hollins contributed with 7 points in 8 rebounds.? In addition, this team is led by former NBA Player, Gerald Green, who has 12 years of experience.? Green is a versatile player, who can respectfully shoot the 3 and is known for his dunks.? Furthermore, Garlon Green is a Co-Captain, and was a former international player.? He also scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and can shoot from long range as well.? Corey Brewer, a former NBA Champion, is?an absolute beast on the defensive end of the court.? This team may lack a true point guard; however, they are fun to watch.??

Back in June of 2017, the BIG3 kicked off their inaugural season at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. After opening night, which included season-ending injuries to Jason Williams and Corey Maggette, many thought the idea of former NBA players coming out of retirement to play basketball was going to have the same fate as the NBA Legends games that used to go down during NBA All-Star weekend.

Well, here we are at the end of a very successful season 2 of Ice Cube's 3-on-3 league and a very successful healthy season 1 for Corey Maggette, who was awarded MVP and Player Captain Of The Year on Tuesday. The former 14-year NBA vet finished second in the league in points and will be competing for a BIG3 championship this Saturday -- at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn!

Maggette's coach in the BIG3, Nancy Lieberman, won Coach of the Year over Gary Payton, who won the Trash Talker of the year award over Stephen Jackson and Nate Robinson.

Rookie Chris "Birdman" Anderson won Defensive Player Of the Year, Al Harrington won the Too Hard To Guard award over 49-year-old Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf after leading his team in points, rebounds and steals, Andre Emmett the 4th Man and Tricky Ricky Davis won the BIG Community Award.

Ice Cube's Big3 basketball league is back and it's bigger and better (I would have said "Deffer" since LL Cool J is involved but youngsters probably wouldn't get the reference) than ever. All of the best players from the first season are back and new faces include former NBA All-Stars Amar'e Stoudemire, Jermaine O'Neal, Metta World Peace, Carlos Boozer and 3 x NBA dunk champion Nate Robinson.

Playing in front of a packed Toyota Center with Tracy McGrady, the Houston Mayor and a who's who of H-Town rappers, the 5'9" Nate Robinson stole the show by putting on a show and handing team Trilogy their first ever loss. Nate was hitting tough layups, knocking down threes and doing a lot of talking and bumping that would have led to technical fouls in today's soft NBA.

Rashad McCants (the first basketball player to date a Kardashian) was the opponent doing most of the bumping and trash-talking with Nate. The reason why Nate was so upset is because Rashad walked into the arena wearing a Joker mask and a Thanos glove...excuse me, Infinity Gauntlet!

"He's just running his mouth." Robinson said to Michael Rapaport during a time-out interview. "You come to the game with a Joker mask, you got a glove. I don't play that shit...Our team is going to do what they got to do to win, you got to punch a bully in the mouth, you got to back it up."

After knocking down the game winner (first team to 50 wins), Nate went over to the opposing team's bench and grabbed McCant's Joker mask. As expected, McCant's wasn't too happy about it and neither was his teammate Kenyon Martin.

Speaking of Nate and fights, he was involved in the last "great" NBA fight: the 2006 brawl between the Knicks and Nuggets. He was also involved in the infamous shower fight with Malik Rose in 2005.

"Nate tried to jump on me when I was naked, thinking he had the advantage that way," Rose said about a lost bet over a Seahawks and Eagles game. "He just got on my nerves, trying to get his money, and I'm not giving it to him. It was a couple of dollars."

And with the 4th pick in the draft, Nancy Lieberman picks Birdman!

While a bunch of talented ladies were being picked in the WNBA draft over in New York, "Lady Magic" was on the Westside, picking former undrafted NBA player Chris "Birdman" Andersen for her Power team in BIG3 draft.

Going into this draft, I assumed Birdman would have been the second center selected and former No.1 NBA Draft pick Greg Oden would have been the first. Not only was Oden not picked before Anderson, he wasn't even drafted!

The majority of the 19 players drafted in Ice Cube's 3-on-3 league aren't household names; Andre Owens, Andre Emmett and Alan Anderson were the top three picks. They were picked for their game and not their name. And this decision shows how competitive the league is. The coaches and players in the BIG3 take basketball seriously and aren't interested in having familiar NBA names and faces on the court if they can't play anymore.

Here's a few of the most familiar names that were part of the draft pool but didn't get selected in a draft that saw 43-year-old Lee Nailon go 6th.

DARIUS MILES

Miles was the 3rd pick in the 2000 NBA draft. His former "knucklehead" teammate on the Clippers, Quentin Richardson, was picked 10th in the BIG3 draft.

GREG ODEN

Mostly known for being selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft over Kevin Durant. I can't give him the title of "biggest bust" over Anthony Bennett because Oden was able to put up big numbers when he wasn't injured; Bennett just couldn't put up numbers.

EDDY CURRY

The 4th pick in the 2001 draft is another big man who showed flashes of brilliance but had a very disappointing NBA career. He spent much of his career being overweight and I can't imagine what type of shape (circle?) he's in now. I'm also hoping he's recovered from the financial mess he was in (why would anyone get a $570,000 loan with 85% interest?!?).

STROMILE SWIFT

The 2nd pick in the 2000 NBA draft is one of my favorite dunkers of all-time. For about six years in the league, he made some of the best NBA posters of the decade.

TYRUS THOMAS

Like Swift, the 4th pick of the 2006 NBA draft was also one of the best poster makers of the decade.

JONATHAN BENDER

After breaking Michael Jordan's scoring record in the McDonalds All-American game, Bender was drafted 5th in the 1999 draft out of high school.

JOE SMITH

Smith was the top pick in the great 1995 draft that featured Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace, Antonio McDyess, Jerry Stackhouse and Damon Stoudamire to name a few. He was also a member of the BIG3 last season and probably played with your favorite NBA player since he played for 12 NBA teams.

LARRY HUGHES

The defensive specialist who never met a shot he didn't like was the 8th pick in the 1998 draft. I was really hoping to see him land on Coach Allen Iverson's team since Hughes started his NBA career with The Answer.

Two other lottery picks in the draft pool that were passed up were Patrick O'Bryant (9th) and Lamond Murray (7th).

If you remember Charles Oakley back in 1987 then you probably remember when the King of New York broke Paul Mokeski's nose as a member of Michael Jordan's Bulls. You might also remember when Oakley was capable of putting up monster numbers like 26 points and 35 boards against the Cavs, which was followed up by 24 points and 21 boards against Boston's big 3 of Bird, Parish and McHale.

Who would of thought 30 years later, Oakley would still be grabbing boards, talking shit and dropping opponents to the ground in a NBA arena? On Sunday, at Staples center, the Big 3 coach suited up for the first time this season and played to a packed crowd full of celebrities, including Martin Lawrence, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown and Dwyane Wade.

Although it wasn't intentional -- like the slap to Charles Barkley's face at a lockout meeting a decade ago -- Oakley did give us a throwback moment when he dropped Al Harrington to the floor with a slap to the face.

Back in late May, Big 3 founder Ice Cube posted a video of himself knocking down the Big 3's 30-foot Four-Point shot, then challenging BBB CEO LaVar Ball to make one. If Ball knocks down one of these shots, Cube said he would buy 10 pairs of the $500+ Lonzo Ball shoes.

Things were silent for a while, then last week, Ball released a video accepting the challenge and saying he's ready to, "taste dat ass(?!)."

On Sunday, at Staples center -- home of Cube's favorite childhood team and where LaVar's son will try to bring back memories of Showtime -- Cube fucked around and got a win over the triple-B CEO with two made shots to Ball's one.

Not that we ever believed LaVar could beat MJ but watching him lose to the guy who famously said, "freaking n****s every way like MJ, I can't believe, today was  a good day" really did help make Sunday a great day. It was just one of many great moments during the celebrity-filled event, which included appearances by Dwyane Wade, Chris Brown, Martin Lawrence, the return of Allen Iverson and a concert by Snoop Dogg, who performed Drop It Like It's Hot!"

After losing the shootout to Cube, Ball gave away his $500 "Showtime" Zo2 shoes to Big 3 baller/former NBA player/former rapper Rashad McCants.

Oversensitive media members and people in search of a perfect PC world weren't the only ones who got a little annoyed by Knicks legend (Yes, I said LEGEND) Charles Oakley this past weekend. A day after saying a lot of today's players are sensitive and some "should be wearing dresses while they play basketball" during the I Am Rapaport live podcast special with members of the Big 3 league, the Big 3 coach got into a heated argument with  Stephen Jackson after Oakley took him out of one of the games.

The difference between Jackson and some of the players Oakley and Gary Payton roasted during the Podcast is Jackson didn't get his feeling hurt and he wont be crying to the media, social media, his agent and team management asking for a trade or the firing of his coach. Instead, he responded by putting up numbers (23 points and 9 boards), getting the W and praising the coach during a post-game interview (with Michael Rapaport).

As for those original "sexist" comments by the man who once slapped Charles Barkley during a NBA lockout, I asked him if he thought people were overreacting to his "wearing dresses" comment and he responded with the perfect old school Knicks response I was expecting.

Despite some minor injuries to players like Jason "White Chocolate" Williams and Kenyon Martin and some rust on players like Allen Iverson, I'm calling the debut of The BIG3 league on Sunday a success.

Due to their TV deal with FS1, the entertaining games weren't streamed live or televised until Monday. If you don't have FS1, which has been showing the games throughout today, you can catch the best highlights from the games in the recap videos below.

Ice Cube's much anticipated BIG3 league kicked off on Sunday and I think it's time for a few of these guys to kick the bucket. I'M KIDDING!

Yes, four guys -- Jason Williams, Corey Maggette, Kenyon Martin and Rashad McCants -- all suffered injuries. Yes, Allen Iverson looked more like Oprah Sideverson during his few minutes on the court. But, how great was it to see White Chocolate, former #1 picks like The Oak Cliff Bully and one of the greatest and most influential players of all-time, Allen Iverson, lace up the sneakers and play in a NBA arena again? A packed Barclays arena that probably has Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov a little jealous. A packed Barclays arena full of  celebs (What's up Whoopi), Nets (What's up D'Angelo), rap legends (What's up LL) and potential MVPs like James Harden -- good to see he showed up for a Big (3) game.

As for the action, no we didn't get to see Allen Iverson play like he did in the 2001 Finals against the Black Mamba; We did get to see Iverson go 1-on-1 with the White Mamba! That alone is worth the price of admission. In his "duel" with the Brian Scalabrine, Iverson finished with 2 points on 1 for 6 shooting, 2 assists, 1 board and 1 steal in 9 minutes of action;  Michael Rapaport's doppelganger finished with 2 points on 1 for 3 shooting, 3 assists and 10 boards in 14 minutes.

Besides that epic duel, we got a game-winner from Deshawn "Hey LeBron, How's My Dirk Taste" Stevenson and a double-double (17 & 13) from Kwame Brown! Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan would have loved to seen those numbers from the former #1 pick. Again, I'm kidding around! But seriously, the Big 3 is great. It's not great like NBA Finals between the Warriors and Cavs great but it's Faaaaaarrr from the NBA legends game of the early 90s. To me, it's great basketball entertainment and an opportunity for long-time basketball fans to see some of their favorite players in one place. My only real complaint is the games are tape delayed so I wont get to watch the games on TV until a day after I've already read all the stats and seen pics and clips from the games.

One of the most interesting things about the upcoming Big 3 league is the 4-point shot. On Tuesday, at the Big 3 combine, Big 3 founder Ice Cube hit the 30-foot shot then challenged Big Baller Brand founder LaVar Ball to do the same. If Ball can hit it, Cube will buy 10 pairs of the $500+ Lonzo Ball shoes.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the father of potential Lakers lotto pick Lonzo Ball accept the challenge from the longtime fan of the Lakers. I also wouldn't be surprised to see LaVar challenge the Don Dada to challenge his son, Lonzo, who did a song with DC The Don, to a freestyle battle. Or how about the Ball Bros vs one of the Big 3 teams? Who wouldn't want to watch LaMelo, LiAngelo and Lonzo play against 3-Headed Monsters with Jason Williams, Kwame Brown and Mahmoud Abdul Rauf while LaVar and Gary Payton yell at each other? Unfortunately, that can't happen.
