Small town (4,700 pop) Metamora lost last season's championship game in double OT so they were ready. Their lone d1 commit is Ethan Kizer (South Alabama). Markese Jacobs has signed with DePaul. The Chicago Uplift guard is the city's top-ranked player (nationally).
At the Team Rose Shootout, Uplift faced Catholic school Brother Rice, led by Loyola commit Marquise Kennedy.
Overlooked by national scouts, Kennedy came on STRONG late last high school season. He also had a strong summer with Illinois Wolves.
This guard matchup didn't disappoint the crowd at Mt Carmel on Chicago's South Side!
In the end Kennedy finished with 36 points but Markese Jacobs hit the game winner (26 points) with 2 seconds left in Overtime to give #23 (in Chicago Suntimes) Uplift the 71-69 win vs #17 Brother Rice!
Detalian Brown scored 21 and Tavion Underwood added 13 points for Chicago Uplift.
Brother Rice sophomore Luke Moustakas added 11 points before fouling out.

Chicago high school basketball fans consider the city's Public League to be the home of the best basketball in the area.
This season, the South Suburbs are making noise. Bloom High School (Chicago Heights) has a core group of 4 juniors who have come up through their system.
They were 8-0 coming into the Team Rose Shootout matchup vs city powerhouse, 2-time defending state champs Morgan Park, led by star Adam Miller. Morgan Park's only loss came to St Louis power Vashon.
After days and weeks of trash talk about who's soft and who's better, Bloom prevailed in front of a huge crowd at Mt Carmel HS on Chicago's South Side.
The debate will continue about city vs suburbs but Bloom came up big on this day.
Bloom's star juniors (and reserves) came up big. Junior Keshawn Williams had 22 points, Justin Moote scored 17 off the bench.
Big 6'9 Martice Mitchell finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 blocks.
The coaches son, Dante Maddox Jr. scored 13 and Donovan Newby added 11.
Juniors Adam Miller led Morgan Park with 31 points and Marcus Watson scored 17.

Chicago's South Side is home to some of the most intense Public League basketball in the country.
The city's top teams battle in tiny packed gyms each winter. One of the biggest rivalries on the South Side is
between the Bogan Bengals and Morgan Park Mustangs. Both have won Chicago city titles and Illinois state titles in recent years.
It's early in the season, but undefeated #2 (in Chicago area) Bogan (5-1) went into #4 Morgan Park (4-1) who were fresh off a loss to Vashon from St Louis.
Bogan was up 16 in the first half, but Morgan Park came back to earn a 85-77 win, driving members of Bogan's squad to tears.
After scoring 28 points, Morgan Park star junior Adam Miller said to the Sun Times, “Whoever loses is going to cry. That is just what happens. We love to play them and they played a hell of a game.”
Chris Roberts score 27 points for Morgan Park. Karl Jones added 11 points.
Bogan's Coach Goodwin called this Morgan Park squad one of it's "worst teams" calling them "Adam Miller and the four blind mice."
Bogan was led by Jordan Booker (19 points), Rashuan Agee (25 points, 14 rebounds) and transfer Kennedy Brown (13 points, 8 rebounds).

The 2018 Chicago Elite Classic was held downtown at Wintrust Arena the home of DePaul basketball.
The massive event was started by and is organized by Whitney Young coach Ty Slaughter and Simeon Coach Rob Smith.
High School basketball Teams, fans, media and college coaches from across the nation made the 7th annual event a success!
Chicago Whitney Young is a perennial Public School power locally and now nationally.
Led by star transfer DJ Steward, Young faced national powerhouse Mater Dei from Orange County, CA.
While they outrebounded Young, Mater Dei shot 22% from 3 for the game.
Mater Dei's star sophomores were tested by Young's tenacity. Devin Askew finished with 3 points (1-12). Wilhelm Breidenbach finished with 10 point, 16 rebounds! Ryan Evans led MD with 22 points.
DJ Steward led with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists.
Efficient senior Myles Baker finished with 18 points (7-11).

Josh Christopher (Mayfair 2020) and his high school squad flew from California to Chicago's South Side to battle defending state champs Morgan Park Mustangs led by 2020 guard Adam Miller.
The game closed out the 2018 Concord Classic by Jordan Brand (and opened Morgan Park's season).
Chicago Morgan Park was up 50-32 in the third quarter when a shoving match escalated during a stoppage in play. The game never resumed and the gym was cleared.
We still wanted to bring you the highlights for the Jordan Brand High School Basketball Concord Classic in Chicago!
No official stats were available but Adam Miller finished with 20+ points and Josh Christopher finished with 12+ points before the game was called.

Chicago has produced tons of tough guards from Derrick Rose to Isiah Thomas.
Recently committed to DePaul (in his hometown), Chicago Uplift guard Markese Jacobs is widely considered Chicago's top guard.
Markese is known for his crazy athleticism, toughness and windmill dunks. His Uplift squad opened their season at the Washington TOC near Peoria, IL.
Jacobs scored 41 points in the win over a tough St Louis Christian squad which includes PG Ramone Woods. In the process he became the TOC's career all-time scoring leader.

Nationally-ranked Simeon faced Marist (27-5) in the Illinois 4A Sectional finals at Thornton HS (Harvey, IL). Led by All-area senior point guard Morgan Taylor, Marist threw the first punch.
The RedHawks started the game 8-0. And Marist led by 9 as late as the fourth quarter, 41-32.
Marist out-shot and out-rebounded #1 Simeon but things turned in the late stretches of the game. Led by seniors Talen Horton-Tucker, Messiah Jones and junior Kejuan Clements, Simeon went on a huge 14-3 run late.
Simeon won 53-48. Next Simeon will face fellow Chicago Public League powerhouse Whitney Young HS in the Supersectional for a trip downstate.
Marist was led by senior Jack Ellison (14 points, 12 rebounds), David Daniels (12 points, nine rebounds) and Morgan Taylor (nine points).
Simeon was led by Talen Horton-Tucker (15 points), Messiah Jones (10 points) and Kejuan Clements (12 points) who scored 9 in the critical 4th.

Simeon Career Academy has evolved into a national-level team under Coach Rob Smith.
The nationally-ranked Wolverines haven't lost to an in-state opponent this season. They won the Chicago city title and now they're focused on winning state.
They faced up and coming suburban Catholic power Brother Rice coached by former UNC guard and Brother Rice alum Bobby Frasor.
Brother Rice struck first. It was a 2-point game at half. In the end, Simeon's depth, size, athleticism and talent won out.
Simeon won 70-55. Stats weren't available for Rice but Marquise Kennedy and Josh Boulanger were standouts.
Drake commit Messiah Jones landed hard on his elbow and head in the second half but returned to dunk on some defenders and seal the win with a windmill dunk! Jones finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks.
Talen Horton-Tucker finished with 21 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks. Zion Young scored 13 off the bench. Simeon point guard Kejuan Clements scored 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists.

Chicago's 2018 Public League Basketball Title game featured Orr Academy from the West Side who were playing for their first city title versus South Side (and national) powerhouse Simeon Career Academy.
Chicago State's arena was virtually at capacity as the city's 2 heavyweight's faced-off.
Tied at halftime, Simeon never slowed-down. Perhaps it was depth or experience or simply the play of star senior Talen Horton-Tucker (23 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks) who willed the Wolverines to a 69-59 victory.
This was Simeon's third Public League title in 3 years. Senior Talen and junior PG Kejuan Clements (18 points, 5 rebounds) played on all 3 varsity squads.
Simeon's the first school to 3-peat since the 1950s-60s.
Orr was led by star senior point guard Chase Adams (16 points, 6 rebounds). His quickness gave Simeon fits at times but Orr was unable to sustain momentum.
Orr's senior frontcourt: Dannie Smith (15 points) and Raekwon Drake (13 points, 10 rebounds) were factors, outrebounding Simeon. It just wasn't enough.
Now both teams focus their attention on the Illinois state tournament. Orr tries to repeat as 2A champs and Simeon is looking to win 4A.

Chase Adams transferred into Chicago Orr Academy leading into his senior year. The dynamic point guard took a little time to get comfortable with the 2A defending Illinois state champs.
And now with Chase at point guard, the Orr Academy Spartans (23-3) are about to play for their first ever Chicago Public League title where they will face Simeon.
But first let's show how they got there. #2 Orr faced #3 Curie. Curie beat Orr in Curie's first game of the season. Curie's only in-state losses were 2 to #1 Simeon.
Curie jumped out first, but Orr's big physical front court of Dannie Smith (17 points, 10 rebounds)and Raekwon Drake (16 points) were too much to handle.
Chase Adams shot well (14 points) and Brian Hernandez (13 points) showed his range for Orr.
Final score was Orr 71-Curie 59. Curie (23-4) was led by guards Maurice Commander (16 points) and Marquise Walker (12 points).
Orr's basketball program is prominently featured in new FOX documentary "Shot in the Dark", executive produced by Dwyane Wade and Chance the Rapper.

Simeon Career Academy's basketball team is on FIRE! The Wolverines are undefeated versus in-state (Illinois) teams and now it's playoff time. Seeking to defend their Chicago Public Schools title from last season, Simeon welcomed Corliss (featuring 6'10 Iowa State commit George Conditt) in Round 2.
After jumping out to a 12-0 lead it was clear Simeon came to send a message. Corliss had talked a little trash on twitter and Simeon put on a dunk show for their fans as they easily advanced to the quarterfinals 81-51 where they play Uplift.
It was a group effort for Simeon led by red hot Talen Horton Tucker's triple double (21/10/10). Junior Simeon guard Kejuan Clements had 14 points, 7 assists. Recent Mizzou commit Xavier Pinson 16 points, 6 assists. Guard Kenny Pittman picked up Division 1 offer from Oakland following his 13 point, 6 rebound performance. Drake commit Messiah Jones added 6 points 10 rebounds.
Former Simeon player Kobe Mapp led Corliss with 17 points. Dhashon Dyson scored 12 points and George Conditt added 8 points.

Talen Horton-Tucker has been overlooked his entire career. He started his sophomore season at Simeon on JV and wasn't even in the team photo. He was never ranked by national scouting services.
2 years later he's leading what Simeon's coach Rob Smith is calling the most dominant Simeon team EVER, including those featuring future NBA MVP Derrick Rose or NBA vet Jabari Parker.
Note I didn't say BETTER. I said more DOMINANT. This team is blowing out everybody.
They faced #2 (in Chicago region) Curie who's only in-state loss was against Simeon in December.
Curie put up a fight but Chicago's top team Simeon cruised to an 80-63 win before a soldout home crowd (it's first of the season).
Broadcast live on Twitter via Gatorade, Baron Davis and Rachel Demita were on hand as well as Bucks' Jabari Parker (famous Simeon alum and 4-time Illinois state champ).
All season, Simeon has been led by Talen Horton-Tucker, an underrated Iowa State commit. Now people are waking up!
THT finished with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 blocks. Drake commit Messiah Jones added 16 points, 10 rebounds for Simeon. Simeon junior Kejuan Clements (PG) scored 11. Xavier Pinson scored 11.
Curie was led by junior guard Marquise Walker (19 points) and Maurice Commander (16 points).

Chicago Curie's Marquise Walker scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, culminating in this 3-pointer at the buzzer to break the 39-39 tie and win the game 42-39,
sending the Condors to the finals of the 2017 Pontiac Holiday Tournament.
Heading into the game, the Oak Park River Forest Huskies were undefeated on the season. For the game, Isaiah Fuller finished with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and Chase Robinson scored 14 points.
Curie hasn't lost to a team in Illinois this season. They were led by 2019 Marquise Walker 13 points, 3 rebounds, Jayden Gasby 6 points, 8 points, Treavon Martin 8 points, Tyree Martin 6 rebounds.

His Morgan Park Mustangs entered the season as a top 3 team in the Chicago area with a national schedule. Before facing Curie, Morgan Park lost to nationally-ranked Findlay Prep, Chicago Simeon and defeated rival Bogan and downstate Champaign Central at a shootout.
Chicago Curie is also considered a top 5 team in Chicago Sun Times but they've already knocked off #1 Orr. Led by junior point guard (St Joes transfer) Marquise Walker and
the senior Martin brothers, Treavon Martin and Tyree Martin, Curie is very very deep.
Both teams play very fast and very hard.
In the end Curie won 69-62!
Marquise Walker scored 23 for Curie. Trevon Martin added 15 and Dajuan Gordon 11. Morgan Park was led by Ayo Dosunmu 26 points and Cam Burrell 10.

Fenwick and Oak Park River Forest HS are both located in Oak Park, IL near Chicago. Both teams are ranked in the top 10 in the Chicago area. For the last few years, the crosstown rivals (Private vs Public) have met at the Chicago Elite Classic at UIC near downtown Chicago.
Both teams have huge student and fan support and there was a week of trash talk on social media leading up to this game. Lately, Fenwick has had the upper hand, winning the last 6 meetings.
This time, Oak Park was victorious! OPRF Huskies defeated the Fenwick Friars 64-59.
The Huskies were led by guard Isaiah Fuller (19 points) and Dashon Enoch also had a strong game.
Limiting 2020 star DJ Steward to 13 points, Damari Nixon led Fenwick scoring 19 points.

Mario McKinney is just a high school junior at Vashon High School (St Louis), but he played like the biggest star on display at the annual Chicago Elite Classic (UIC Pavillion).
Hosted by Chicago powerhouse basketball programs Simeon and Whitney Young HS, teams from across the nation play Chicago's top teams over 2 days.
Missouri state champs Vashon faced Illinois 4A state champs Whitney Young. Young is led by athletic wing, Javon Freeman (Valparaiso). The Dolphins started their season 6-0.
Smaller at every position, Vashon scrapped for rebounds and loose balls. In the end, Mario McKinney finished with 32 points )15 in 4th quarter), 9 rebounds in Vashon's 80-74 win.
Vashon sophomore Cam'Ron Fletcher finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds!
Javon Freeman scored 22 points and Myles Baker added 18 and Keenan Jones scored 12 for Whitney Young.

Whitney Young (selective enrollment Chicago Public High School) opened their basketball season 5-0. The defending Illinois 4A (large school division) Champs are looking to repeat. They're led by Valpo commit Javon Freeman (Nephew of Marcus Liberty). Freeman, an athletic wing, has clearly been the team's most productive scorer so far this season. He's a legit Chicag-area Player of the Year contender and an Illinois Mr Basketball darkhorse contender.
The 1st annual Like Mike Invitation (Jordan Brand/Gatorade event) was held at Navy Pier's ballroom in downtown Chicago. Whitney Young faced Fenwick, an elite Catholic school from neighboring Oak Park, IL. Last season's 3A state runners-up, Fenwick started this season 3-1.
Fenwick is led by star-in-the-making 2020 DJ Steward. The crafty, long, lean wing has a scorer's mentality.
Freeman is surrounded by multiple future d1 players at Young like Xavier Castaneda (USF). Fenwick may not have the star power, but they are battle-tested.
In the end, Whitney Young eeked out a 74-73 victory over Fenwick. Javon Freeman finished with 35 points unofficially and DJ Steward scored 31 points.
It's still too early in the season to make any judgements but the debate will continue... Who's better at basketball? Public Schools or Private Schools?

Comin' Home Again! Jayhawks Commit Markese Jacobs Back from Prep School!

Markese Jacobs is an ultra-athletic guard from Chicago, IL. The Kansas Jayhawks commit transferred briefly to Hillcrest Prep School in Arizona but has now returned to Chicago Uplift (his original high school). Jacobs and his fellow Uplift Titans opened their season at Washington, Illinois' Tournament of Champions.
Coming off the bench, Jacobs easily scored 20 points. He showed flashes of his athleticism but did most of his scoring from the line.
Teammate Toraze Dobbs added 28 points in Uplift's 84-73 win over Montgomery Carver.

Adam Miller recently moved to Chicago from Peoria, Illinois. The electrifying 6'3 2020 guard transferred into basketball powerhouse Morgan Park on the city's South Side.
The Public League team's high octane offense just turned up a notch with the addition of Miller. Morgan Park's top returning player is 5-star Illinois commit, Ayo Dosunmu.
That puts the state's top rated senior and top rated sophomore in the same backcourt (on the defending 3A Illinois state champs)!
A 4-star guard, Adam Miller is rated a top 20 player nationally by 247. Heading into his sophomore season, he holds offers from Kansas, Memphis, Wake Forest, Illinois, Oklahoma State, and Bradley.
We expect the list to grow once Miller is seen on the national stage with the Morgan Park Mustangs!

Ballislife takes pride in covering the top high school players across the country. But when we get a chance, we like to shine a light on new, even younger players who haven't been seen before. Here's our favorite new 8th grade guard out of Chicago we caught by accident at Jr Hoops Elite Best of Midwest: Leonte Lilly.
5'7 8th grader Leonte Lilly attends Beidler Elementary School, a public school on Chicago's West Side. In the last 10-15 years since this Ballislife writer has been in Chicago, Beidler has never been known for its basketball team. Well now Beidler has a talented squad, led by Leonte Lilly.
When asked who he models his game after, Lilly replied Isaiah Thomas (the Cavs PG, not the Pistons star). Perhaps he got his handles from IT?

8th Grade Jaylen Drane is Next Chicago-TOUGH PG!

Jaylen Drane is an 8th grader at Ariel Community Academy, a public school on Chicago's South Side.
In local Chicago basketball circles, the tough PG is considered to be the top grammar school guard in Chicago Public Schools. A 6ft guard, Drane attacks the basket relentlessly and his teams win A LOT! He led his Ariel 7th-8th team to 5-0 run, winning Best of the Midwest Classic at Collins HS.
He led his loaded team in scoring. Ariel last won a Chicago basketball city championship 4 years ago led by Chase Adams and Kezo Brown among others.
When asked who he models his game after, Jaylen Drane replied Kezo Brown (Chicago Simeon Career Academy senior guard and Ariel alum).
The season is young but alongside star 7th grader Jalen Griffith, there are high expectations for Jaylen Drane and Ariel's team this season.

Chicago 8th Grade Title Game Gets HEATED! Full Highlights! Ariel vs Biedler!

Chicago Ariel Community Academy Storm 7th-8th grade basketball team's season is off to a great start! The ultra-talented group from the city's South Side
won the annual 32-team Best of the Midwest Classic (presented by jrhoopselite.com) featuring middle school teams from Chicago and across the region.
Led by one of the city's top 8th grade basketball players Jaylen Drane and one of the city's top 7th graders Jalen Griffith, the Storm went 5-0 (all blowouts).
The faced Biedler in the heated title game. A new school on the Chicago basketball scene, point guard Leonte "Lee Lee" Lilly and big-bodied guard Mikwon Jones led Biedler all weekend.
Energetic shot blockers Malaun Greyer and Jeremy Anderson also stood out at both ends for Ariel.
If the name Ariel sounds familiar, Chase Adams and Kezo Brown led Ariel to its first and only basketball city title 4 years ago.
Let's see if Ariel can get back on top?! And let's see if Biedler will contend too!
It's going to be a long, grueling season for both talented teams from Chicago and Ballislife will be watching all season long!

Pangos Midwest Top 30 All-Star Game Highlights! Tyler Beard, Adam Miller, Patrick Baldwin, Ahmad Bynum!

The Cream of the Crop Top 30 All-Star Game at the 2017 Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp was a well-played affair and greatly helped the overall profile of the top participants. The game came down to the wire and was settled when Chicago’s Adam Miller came up with a field goal with 22 seconds remaining. He was among the standouts in the top all-star game along with teammate Tyler Beard and a third guard from Chicago named Ahmad Bynum. One sophomore (Michigan’s Isaiah Jackson) and freshman (Wisconsin’s Patrick Baldwin) were named co-MOPs of the camp, while it’s not hard to get excited about the future of two promising eighth-graders in attendance.

As is the case with many showcase events, play during camp games at the Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp in La Grange, Ill., got a bit lackluster at times. This was particularly ture for the elite talent when matched up with other young players who weren’t quite as gifted. Playing down to the level of competition is something gifted young players must learn not to do in any setting, so it was refreshing to see the level of play dramatically rise up during the Cream of the Crop Top 30 All-Star game designed for the camp’s elite prospects.

Fittingly the game came down to the wire after the White Team had opened up a sizeable lead in the second half. Trailing by three-points with just under thirty seconds remaining, the Black Team had a chance to tie the game, but an errant 3-point attempt led to a lay-up in transition for 6-foot-4 sophomore (2020) guard Adam Miller of Morgan Park (Chicago) to give the White club a five point (92-87) lead in its eventual 92-89 victory.

Miller, a physically strong off-guard with a variety of offensive skills, finished with 13 points, three assists and two steals for a White Team that had a balanced scoring attack. Other statistical standouts for the winning team included 6-foot-4 sophomore guard Katrell Raimey of Olathe East (Olathe, Kan.) with 12 points, 6-foot-5 sophomore power guard Chris Grubbs of Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, Ind.) with seven points and four rebounds and team MVP Tyler Beard, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard from Whitney Young (Chicago) who put on an excellent all-around display of skill to finish with 13 points, four rebounds and six assists. Grubbs and Beard likely helped their overall evaluation the most out of the White Team standouts with their all-star game performances.

Statistical standouts for the Black club included skilled 6-foot-9 sophomore forward Even Brauns of Regina (Iowa City, Iowa) with 11 points, four rebounds and two assists, physical 6-foot-1 sophomore guard Ty Foster of Lincoln (Denver, Col.) with 10 points, 6-foot-1 sophomore guard D.J. Steward of Fenwick (Ill.) with 15 points and 6-foot-1 freshman (2021) guard Ahmad Bynum of Simeon (Chicago), with 13 points. Steward and Bynum, the latter who was named team MVP, led the Black Team comeback with their excellent offensive play in transition and defensive instincts and pressure. Bynum is a confident shot maker and Steward was arguably the fastest player in the open guard at the camp and also displayed the ability to rebound the ball.

Named camp co-MOPs were two forwards, one a freshman who helped the White Team to victory with nine points and two rebounds and a sophomore who actually didn’t have the opportunity to play in the top Cream of the Crop game. The talented freshman was 6-foot-8 Patrick Baldwin of Hamilton (Milwaukee, Wis.), who was one of the top 25 talents at the same camp last year as an eighth-grader and left no doubt he’s one of the best overall freshman in the country with his multitude of skills, excellent footwork and feel for the game. Baldwin is also an excellent passer in both the open court and the half court set with a mix of Ben Simmons and Kyle Kuzma in his game.

Isaiah Jackson, a 6-foot-8 sophomore forward from Old Redford (Detroit) wasn’t able to participate in the top all-star game, but had already made his mark with his athleticism and shot blocking ability. He was a standout for The Family 15U on the EYBL circuit and still has a great ceiling for improvement in terms of physical strength. When Jackson fills out, he could develop into a legitimate McDonald’s All-American candidate.

Remember These Names

Kamari Lands and A.J. Casey were the only two eight-graders (2022) to earn a spot in the Cream of the Crop Top 30 all-star game. Not only were they deserving of selection and showed they belong, they were arguably two of the top five overall performers in camp based on skill level and production. The eighth-grade duo is that good.

Lands, a 6-foot-6 forward from Indianapolis, already has an advanced feel for the game and knows how to find his spots in the half court. It’s still early in the evaluation process, but it’s hard to imagine there are five better eighth-graders around the country than this talented combo forward. As for Casey, he has a big reputation in hoops-crazed Chicago and to say the city’s basketball powers would love to have his services is a gross understatement. Casey showed well for the winning white club in the top all-star game because of his activity level. He finished with seven points and four rebounds.

Keshawn Williams Shines

At last week’s All-South Camp, there was a bit more depth in terms of overall talent and plenty of players had legit arguments to be included in one of the two all-star games or be bumped up from the second game to the top one. At this week’s camp, however, there was clear separation between the two games. It was clear the selection committee put together by camp director Dinos Trigonis had picked the 30 best players in camp for the top game with few exceptions.

The one player who had first game talent and separated himself from the pack in the second game was 6-foot-1 sophomore guard Keshawn Williams of Bloom Township (Chicago Heights, Ill.). Williams had a standout game with 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field, 5-of-5 shooting from the line while adding two steals. Williams’ quickness stood out and he also displayed a nice crossover dribble.

Williams played for the Black club while the game MVP for the winning White club (73-62) was 6-foot-3 sophomore guard Xavier Bell of Andover Central (Wichita, Kan.) with 11 points and five rebounds.

Alonzo Verge is a Triple-Double Threat! Electric PG Full Highlights!

Alonzo Verge jr. is on fire this month (February) and so are his Thornton Wildcats (20-5)! In less that three quarters (and no shot clock), the electrifying senior point guard scored 15 points to go with 9 rebounds, six assists and four steals as his squad cruised to 87-49 victory in their final regular season game at Thornridge. Thornton went 12-0 in conference play! Verge sat a bit in each of the first 3 quarters and wasn't needed in the fourth due to the blowout. But he still put his skills on display when he was on the court!
