Steph Curry's elbow knot in GM2 was nastier than outscoring the Thunder 15-2 in just 2 minutes but if you want to talk about the Warriors and nasty elbows, we have to flashback to 2010 when David Lee knocked a tooth out of Wilson Chandler's mouth with his elbow. At the time, it seemed like Chandler got the worst of it but it turned out the collision almost ended Lee's career.

A piece of Chandler's tooth got stuck in Lee's arm, causing his elbow to swell to the size of a softball and an infection which required two surgeries. Yes, bite injuries are that serious. The mouth is the nastiest place on a human. And no, Wilson Chandler did not?have rabies.

Here's Lee, Via an interview with?KNBR in San Francisco, talking about the severity of the infection.

On his injury:
"This injury went from something that I thought was going to be a two-day situation to all of a sudden they were saying 'we might have to cut your triceps muscle and you're never going to play again,' to 'you're fine.' It was a very scary situation, and I learned how serious infection can be. Looking back on it, I think the only way we could have prevented was by not going back in the game in New York and just sitting out. And at that point, there was nothing that indicated it was going to be very serious, so that wasn't really an option."

On potentially having to have his triceps muscle cut out of his arm:
"It got to the point where they said if we can't find the right antibiotics to counter the bacteria that you're going to have to start getting things cut out of your arm, and you may never have the same arm to play basketball again. My left arm was my shooting arm. And really, I was only out for two and a half weeks, so all of this happened in that short of a time period, so it happened quick. I was just in disbelief half the time. I'm just glad the worst didn't occur and I'm back able to help the team now."

Lee did recover and in 2013 he became the first Warrior to make the All-Star team since Latrell Sprewell did way back in 1997. Then during an injury-plagued 2014/15 season, Lee played a major role in helping the Warriors win the NBA championship against the Cavs.

He's currently an (injured) member of the Dallas Mavs.

One of the most entertaining "brawls" in NBA history went down on this date back in 2013. I know I just called it a "brawl" even though it was really just a shoving match between Roy Hibbert and?Steph Curry doing a pretty awesome impersonation of Jeff Van Gundy.

The fun started midway through the fourth quarter after an upset David Lee pushed Hibbert?after a blown whistle. The 7'2' 280-pound Hibbert pushed Lee back, causing the 6'3' 180-pound Steph Curry to run over and grab Hibbert. Roy swung his arm and flicked Curry off like a bug on a?shoulder. Curry then did his best Jeff Van Gundy hanging on Alonzo Mourning impersonation before getting up and going for round two. Once again, he was pushed off like a kid who doesn't belong in a fight. Paul George then grabbed Curry and pulled him away before Hibbert actually realized who he was.

”Seriously, I didn’t even feel him,” Said Hibbert after the game.?”I saw some light-skinned guy. I don’t know if it was Klay Thompson or Steph Curry, I just knew there was a light-skinned guy by me.”

Not to get off-topic, but this quote reminded me of the hilarious story Kevin Durant told about?meeting this 10-year-old "white kid" named Stephen Curry at an AAU event.

Back to the "brawl," things eventually calmed down, the Pacers won despite a season-high 38 by Steph and David Stern handed out a few punishments: Hibbert and Lee were suspended one game without pay and Lance Stephenson and the two light skinned Warriors were fined $35,000 each for "escalating the altercation."

"My mom was a little upset," Hibbert told the Indiana Star. "She said I should have walked away. It's unfortunate it happened. I watched the video and I saw there was a little kid that ran up out of his seat when all that happened."

When Hibbert watched the video, he also finally realized which light-skinned guy was hanging on his leg during the altercation.

Steph Curry was pushing Dellavedova around all night and I mean he literally was pushing Delly all night.

At the end of the first quarter, Delly bumped David Lee and then got pushed by a pissed off, yes a pissed off, looking Steph Curry. ?The TV producer, realizing it's not a good look for Curry and the NBA,?quickly had a graphic transition pop up over the possible altercation before they went to a commercial.

Unlike that push, Curry's extended arm push on Delly in the 4th quarter was a little more obvious since Curry had the ball in his hand when he made the push before passing to Klay Thompson for the layup (50 second mark of the following video). The refs didn't care to call it?but even if they did, it wouldn't have stopped the Warriors from pushing the series to at least a game 6.

Earl Manigault, Jackie Jackson, Herman Knowlings, Connie Hawkins, Joe Hammond, Pee Wee Kirkland, David Lee! ?Maybe Golden State Warrior David Lee doesn't belong on the Rucker Park Hall of Fame list but he and teammate Kent Bazemore recently played at the famous court in ?Harlem and put on a mini dunk clinic to the surprise of many in attendance.

To the heckling crowd that didn't know about David Lee's "hops" they must not remember his dunk on Gerald Wallace (below) while he was playing for the Knicks or him beating ex Knick James White in the 2001 McDonalds High School Dunk contest. ?Now I'm not saying he's a better dunker than James because he won the Mickey D contest because by the rationale Candace Parker is a better dunker than JR and Josh Smith but I am saying the Billy Hoyle of Rucker Park can and will dunk.

The only thing that would of made this video better is if Kent Bazemore would have done?one of his classic celebrations after a Lee dunk but he was busy creating his own highlights in the game as if he was still dominating the NBA Summer League.

How funny that the day we post an "out of character" video of Roy Hibbert getting mad at the Waterboy he takes it to another level and gets into a brawl fight.   Now brawl fight makes it sound much worse than it really was.  What it was was a shoving match between David Lee and Roy Hibbert and then Steph Curry played the role of Jeff Van Gundy by trying to go for a leg during a brawl.

Although it wasn't that bad, I wouldn't be surprised if David Stern handed out a suspension to Roy Hibbert for tossing around those "light skinned guys."

Watching the Golden State Warriors We Believe game reminded me of this "classic" dunkathon from 2008 featuring the Warriors & Knicks.  23 dunks in total with many coming from Corey Magette and  David Lee (then a Knick).  I'm sure this video will upset every coach but should satisfy most fans of basketball.

I don't know if this is an official NBA record for most dunks in a game but it has to be close if not.
