]]> Every college hoops fan knows Kentucky's Anthony Davis, winner of 2012 Oscar Robertson Trophy, the Adolph Rupp Trophy, the AP Player of the Year, Naismith Award, Sporting News Player of the Year and John R. Wooden Award. He was the Southeastern Conference's player, freshman and defensive player of the year.
But last season Davis played WAY under the radar for Chicago's Perspectives Charter (Class of 2011), a tiny public school on the city's South Side. As a 6'10 senior, Anthony Davis came out of nowhere to finish #1 ESPN, #1 Scout, #2 Rivals in his class. He was a 2011 McDonald's All American and 2011 Jordan Brand All American (MVP).
A dominant force on offense + defense, he could do everything on the court in high school just like he does in college. Anthony Davis averaged 32 points, 22 rebounds, and 7 blocks as a senior playing in the Chicago Public League's Blue Division.
Here are highlights from Davis' senior season in the Chicago public league plus a few from the McDonald's All American Game (Chicago).
