Former WNBA player Yelena Leuchanka is probably dreaming of the good ole' days back with the Atlanta Dream or Charlotte Sting. In a recent game against Shanghai, Yelena was the victim of a bunch of dirty nonsense, including this stinger from the hooping O-Ren Ishii.

If that wasn't bad enough, the reason why she looked like she was already sucker punched before the cheap shot is because she was - in the previous game! ?And the cherry on top was she didn't even get a whistle to go with the black eye.

The WCBA did suspend the "girl" for the the cheap shot, but many believe it was only because of the media attention.

Kobe Bryant has done a pretty good job of avoiding on the court fights over his long career but in his first few years, the young hot head with a mini fro was quick to show his frustration and get into physical altercations with opponents: In 2002, he fought Reggie Miller which ended up costing him $12,500 and a 2 game suspension and 2 years earlier, he was suspended for throwing an elbow and getting punched in the jaw twice by the Knick's Chris Childs.

Two years before the childish Childs incident, in a regular season match-up against the rival Spurs, Nick Van Exel and Monty Williams got into a scuffle and Kobe found himself in the middle as he tried to stop the fight and ended up getting shoved to the ground by the Monty Williams. Kobe was spared fines and suspensions but Nick the Quick and Monty were suspended 2 games each and fined $10k and $5k. The Spurs Reggie Geary and Will Perdue along with Shaq were also fined $5k each.

"They can take 10 and give it to charity,' O'Neal said about his fine.  "I think it's very unfair, Karl Malone elbows David (Robinson) head off his shoulders and he gets one game. Nick gets a scrub off of him, and he gets two games. What's he supposed to do in a situation like that, get beat up on national TV?''

Well, Nick didn't have the best rep with the league front office so it was no surprise he would get a such a stern punishment (bad pun intended).

As for Kobe and that "scrub," Bryant had his revenge against Williams 13 years later when he became the youngest player to ever score 30,000 points against Monty's New Orleans' team.  Before the game, Coach Monty wasn't too thrilled at the thought.

"I don’t want to see him score any points. Obviously, from an NBA standpoint, people get caught up with that stuff. But he’s beaten me too many times over the years for me to worry about him scoring more points. I hope he has 10 turnovers to go with however many points he has tonight.’’

Paul Pierce must still be a little upset over the time - April 30th of 2009, GM6 of the 2009 playoffs to be exact - Joakim Noah dunked on him.

During last night's Wizard's win over the Bulls, new Wizard Paul Pierce gave Jimmy Butler a hard foul which didn't sit well with Noah who came over and put his hand on Pierce. Paul responded by poking Noah on the head and the next thing you know Tom Thibodeau is getting sandwiched between the two.

The scuffle is pretty much the only thing Pierce did as he finished the game with 2 points on 0-3 shooting in 19 minutes. Noah didn't do much else as he also scored 2 points in 14 minutes. Butler only had 1 field goal but finished with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 almost fights. Besides the Noah/Pierce scuffle, Butler and Kevin Seraphin got into it at the end of the 3rd quarter.

This isn't Butler's first scuffle with the Wizards either. During last year's playoffs he and Nene did some headbutting but atleast the Bulls won that game - which was a little more important than this preseason game.

Over 10 players were involved in a scuffle between the Warriors and Blazers during Portland's 113-101 win last night. ? The incident started when Andrew Bogut and Joel Freeland got into under the basket and Bogut threw an elbow at Freeland. ?Mo Williams and LaMarcus Aldridge jumped in and exchanged shoves with Bogut and then mayhem broke loose.

In the end, Portland's Mo Williams was ejected, Wes Matthews was ejected (because it was his 2nd tech) and Freeland received a tech. ?For GS, Draymond Green was ejected and Bogut was given a technical? ?I'm not sure why Green was ejected and not Bogut but I'm sure Bogut will be getting a call from the league offices.

Portland went on a 40-21 run after the scuffle and LaMarcus Aldridge finished with a monster stat line: 30/21/3/3/3

How funny that the day we post an "out of character" video of Roy Hibbert getting mad at the Waterboy he takes it to another level and gets into a brawl fight.   Now brawl fight makes it sound much worse than it really was.  What it was was a shoving match between David Lee and Roy Hibbert and then Steph Curry played the role of Jeff Van Gundy by trying to go for a leg during a brawl.

Although it wasn't that bad, I wouldn't be surprised if David Stern handed out a suspension to Roy Hibbert for tossing around those "light skinned guys."
