Future UK Duo Electrify in UNREAL High School Atmosphere: HSOT Recap

A trio of UK commits headlined this years HSOT Holiday Invitational. Bam Adebayo and his HPCA squad put on for the #HoopState as they beat Arlington Country Day and claimed the John Wall National Bracket Championship. Adebayo was named Most Outstanding Player and Michael Hueitt Jr. picked up Most Vauable Player. With his future coach (John Calipari) in attendance, De'Aaron Fox showed Raleigh what the future Wildcat was all about. Using his speed, Fox was unstoppable driving to the hoop for an automatic bucket. Wesleyan Christian brought the show from right down the road in High Point as Tennessee commits Kwe Parker and Jalen Johnson turned it up. In the David West Bracket, it was Ravenscroft that brought home the trophy. Junior Michael Okaru was named MVP for his efforts. Thomas Allen was the MOP for Garner as he scored a tourney-high 40 points. Other included in the recap are Justice Kithcart (Pitt), Sacha Killeya-Jones (UK), Jay Huff (UVA), Chance Greene, Alex Reed, Brandon Childress (Wake Forest), Ian Steere, Douglas Elks, and many more!

Day 3 of the HSOT Holiday Invitational featured big plays & big-time players. This video features top performers Thomas Allen, Jay Huff, Lavar Batts Jr, Edrice "Bam" Adebayo and De'Aaron Fox. Batts lead JM Robinson High School to a 63-57 win over Trinity Christian with 25 points, 5 rebounds & 4 assists. The University of Virginia got a good one in Jay Huff. Huff tallied a triple-double (20 points, 15 rebounds, 10 blocks) in a 91-81 loss to defending 4A State Champs, Garner High School. Garner was led by Thomas Allen's 40 points, who hit on 17-27 from the field (4-7 3pt). In the nightcap Bam Adebayo's High Point Christian squad met with fellow UK commit, De'Aaron Fox & Cypress Lakes High School (TX). John Calipari showed up to check out his future duo and neither disappointed. Fox continued his hot scoring streak with 29 points but it was Bam Adebayo's night. Adebayo finished with 26 points and 14 rebounds in a 91-63 win to advance to the championship tomorrow night. The first is from the Chick-Fil-A Classic played in Columbia, SC and the second is the HSOT Holiday Invitational played in Raleigh, NC. Smith averaged over 25ppg in these six games and did so facing double teams the majority of the time. If Dennis Smith Jr can impress one of the NBA's best point guards, I'd say he might be worth giving a look.

Wall was in attendance just to check out Dennis' game and he did not leave disappointed. In a post game interview Smith was quoted as saying, "It's got to be the shoes..."
