The post Streetball legend Hot Sauce Tosses The Ball Off the Face Of A Hawks Fan appeared first on www.ebooksnet.com.
]]>It's been almost 17 years since the And1 Mixtape Vol. 3 VHS dropped at Foot Action stores. And 17 years after that landmark tape was released, it's biggest star, Philip Champion aka Hot Sauce aka Sizzerman aka Hot Sizzle, is still breaking ankles and throwing the ball off defenders faces like Jason Richardson once did to Carlos Boozer (more about that later).
During a break during the Hawks loss to the Raptors, the Hawks gave one "lucky" fan an opportunity to have his ankles broken by the streetball legend in a segment called "Handles Like Hot Sauce."
As expected, Sauce tortured the "feeling good" fan by tossing the ball off his face before putting him on skates and making an easy layup.

As for that Jason Richardson story, back in 2003, the former dunk champ won MVP of the Rookie Challenge game. The highlights of the game wasn't any of his dunks or his seven threes but him pissing off Carlos Boozer by throwing the ball of his pre-shoe shine head.
After the game, Boozer said, "That was no class, but I'm not worried about it."
When Richardson heard Boozer's comments, he replied, "It's not a no-class act. It was streetball, and he should know that. But maybe he doesn't since he's from Alaska."
He also said he made an attempt to talk to Boozer but couldn't get a response.
"When I tried to talk to him, he wouldn't say anything. I tried it once. I'm not going to kiss his ass. That's it."
If you want to see more great footage of Hot Sauce, then check out the following two videos and please avoid the movie Crossover, which stars him and a young Anthony Mackie.

]]>Steph Curry was just 10-years old when the And1 Mixtape (and Skip To My Lou) phenomenon started and still in his early teens when streetball stars like The Professor and Hot Sauce were shutting gyms down with moves like the Shirt Tornado, which involved slapping the ball out of your jersey while spinning on a defender. In 10 out of 10 cases, the move didn't help the player get into a better scoring position but it looked good and got oohs and aahs from the crowd.
During the Under Armour basketball camp in China this past weekend, Curry took it back to 2001 with an easy variation of the shirt move before knocking down a step-back jumper (this would have been a miss by most streetball players) over a defender.
Seeing Curry pull out the move gives me an excuse to pull out this throwback video of Kobe Bryant visiting the Philippines in 1998 during an Adidas tour. In it, Kobe executes a lot of the most popular moves seen in the original And1 mixtapes and even does the elbow hang dunk made famous by Vince Carter in the 2000 NBA dunk contest. What makes this so interesting is this event was a year before the first And1 mixtape came out, years before it blew up and two years before Vinsantiy won the NBA dunk contest. My question is: Where did Kobe see these moves and dunk?

]]>Former NCAA Dunk Contest Champion Doug Anderson has been a great pick-up for Court Kingz. The currently on-tour streetball?team already featured highlight generators Hot Sauce, Baby LeBron, Guy Dupuy, and Mani Love. Now with Doug throwing down dunks on and over defenders, he's made Court Kingz a regular on Ballislife.
In a recent game in Alabama, the high flying Anderson almost topped his in-game between the legs?dunk from last month with a backboard shattering in-game between the legs dunk. ?But he missed the dunk - something I can't recall ever saying before.
Sames goes for saying I saw a 4'5 guy hanging on a rim.

]]>GET DOWN WITH YA BAD SELF!
Streetball legend Hot Sauce is still Super Bad and telling defenders to Try Me as he and his Court Kingz crew travel around the US, playing their greatest hits and making defenders say Please, Please, Please as they fall to their knees doing their best James Brown impersonation.
I'm not done with the corny James Brown references, here's a track list dedicated to the James Brown impersonator in the video above.

]]>Philip Champion, better known as Hot Sauce to the basketball community, is probably one of the three most recognized "streetballers" of all-time and for the past 12 years he's been breaking ankles and inspiring kids and ballers across the world with his ground breaking moves and events via And1 & Court Kingz.
It all goes back to February of 2001, when And1 followed up the disappointing ?And1 Mixtape Vol2 with the landmark Volume 3 that introduced the world to Hot Sauce and streetball to the masses. ?Soon after the release of the free VHS tape, Streetball was a TV show on ESPN, And1 was touring the United States and kids were even playing with their favorite streetballers on gaming systems.
Since then the popularity of streetball has faced it's ups and downs and many of the original popular faces and names on the original mixtapes are as relevant as the technology they were featured on but Sauce is still here. Still everywhere. ?In the US and overseas and he wants the world to know that he's not only relevant but he's "the greatest streetball player in the world."
In this latest (conceptually ambitious) video/film by Court Kingz, Hot Sauce takes on challengers and introduces us to his little man "Lil Sizz" who he says will be taking the crown one day.
Check out the following videos of Hot Sauce and Lil Sizz and it's pretty obvious this is a case of "Like Father Like Son."
Also be on the lookout for upcoming events with the Court Kingz

]]>When the?And1 Mixtape Vol. 3?VHS dropped back in 2000 at Foot Action stores, the biggest story was the new guy showing off handles and moves the world has never seen before. Even NBA players were talking about the ankle-breaking streetballer named Philip Champion aka Hot Sauce aka Sizzerman aka Hot Sizzle. His memorable crossover was so deadly, he even got a starring role in the not so memorable film (OK, absolutely horrible film) Crossover.
Don't think I'm alone on hating this film because it's currently ranked #11 on the IMDB worst films of all-time. So if you enjoy Hot Sauce and streetball moves, I suggest you watch this 80 minute movie about Philip Champion by Albrto Entertainment instead.
