Michigan State 5-star commit Jaren Jackson Jr. opened his senior season at La Lumiere with a bang.
A high energy rebounder, shot-blocker and skilled finisher at the rim, Jackson showed all his skills as his future college coach Tom Izzo watched in Crown Point, Indiana.
The loaded La Lumiere squad opened its season going 2-0 against area prep schools at the Don Bosco Prep Hub City Classic. In the Preseason FAB 50 powered by www.ebooksnet.com, La Lumiere checked in at No. 2 nationally behind Oak Hill Academy.
The 6'10 17 year old Jackson was the first member of the 2017 MSU recruiting class. Currently ranked 15th (Rivals), 29th (Scout), 22nd (247) and 26th (ESPN 100) overall in the Class of 2017, Jackson Jr has since been joined by 4-star Grand Rapids (Michiga) Christian forward Xavier Tillman.
The other committed senior at La Lumiere is 4-star Michigan commit Jordan Poole. Five-star wing Brian Bowen is on the team, but has not yet picked a school. 2017 Center from Australia Jacob Epperson and 2019 PG Tyger Campbell help round out one of the most devastating lineups in prep hoops.
Over the summer, Jackson averaged 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals on 45.5 percent shooting from the field playing for the Spiece Indy Heat alongside Tillman and Tyger Campbell at the Nike EYBL.
Jackson comes from a basketball family as his dad Jaren Sr. starred at Georgetown (1985-1989) and played on multiple NBA teams, including the 1999 NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs and his mom Terri is The WNBA Players Association director of operations.

Indianapolis Lawrence Central High School senior Kyle Guy is a McDonald's All American and has been named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Indiana. He's the leading contender to be named Mr Basketball in Indiana too.
The 6'3 Virginia-bound guard averaged 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the Bears to a 19-7 record and sectional final game. This season Guy became his school's all-time leading scorer.
He's perhaps best known as a high-level shooter (which he is). But Guy also showed his all-around high-major skills each time our cameras caught him in action.

Kyle Guy might be stereotyped as a shooter, but at the FORUM Tip Off Classic at Southport High School in Indianapolis, the Lawrence Central (Virginia-commit) displayed his all-around high-major skills.
Billed as a battle of Indiana Mr Basketball contenders, Guy and Lawrence Central faced Cathedral lead by Eron Gordon (brother of Pelicans' Eric Gordon).
The rugged, productive 6'2 guard Gordon finished with a team-high 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, but Lawrence Central prevailed 74-65.
Playing their 3rd game in a 4-day stretch, Guy led Lawrence Central with 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The 6'3 guard Guy is undoubtedly a high-level shooter and offensive weapon, but what impressed against Cathedral was his feel for the game at both ends.

10th grade Romeo Langford was one of the star attractions at the 2015 FORUM Tip Off held at Southport High School in Indianapolis, IN. With local and national media in attendance, 11 of Indiana's premier HS teams (and 1 from Illinois), featuring many of the state's top individual players battled in one of the state's historic gyms (which holds 7,000 fans). The 6'4 shooting guard Langford came in as #1 New Albany's leading scorer. Dominating at both ends, he finished with 29 points, 12 rebounds including this DUNK OF THE DAY in the second half!
Holding offers from Purdue, UCLA and IUPUI, Langford projects to be one of the top 2018 players in Indiana and the midwest.

At the 82nd Pontiac Tournament (Pontiac, IL), Chicago Curie's star junior Cliff Alexander put on a dunk show while averaging 20.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks for the third-place Condors. Alexander scored 21 points on 9 of 10 shooting in Curie's 62-57 semifinal loss to Simeon, and was 38 of 48 from the field during the tournament. He was unstoppable!

Still an 8th grader, 6’2 Eron Gordon holds scholarship offers from Indiana and Purdue before entering high school.

14-year old Eron is the youngest brother of Eric Gordon Jr. (current New Orleans Hornets guard, 2007 IN Mr. Basketball at North Central, then one season at Indiana U before the NBA). Young Eron will attend North Central high school like Eric did (in Indianapolis, IN).

The 1st Annual East vs West All Star game was held at Indiana University Northwest in Gary, Indiana, featuring players from 9 states as far away as California.

Eron Gordon scored over 30 points to capture the 8th Grade MVP trophy.
