]]>"We shot 38 3s? Damn." said J.R Smith after the Cavs made a NBA playoff record-tying 20 3-pointers in a game 2 win against the Pistons on Wednesday night. Smith had 7 of those 3s, Kyrie had 4, Kevin 3 and LeBron 2, including the most memorable one: Midway through the 3rd, LeBron hit one of the Cavs 6 3-pointers of the quarter, then pointed at Marcus Morris and gave him a look of disgust.
Morris probably had that look stuck in his head, as well as flashback of his scuffle with LeBron earlier in the season (video below), when he stuck LeBron with an elbow midway through the following quarter. LeBron yelled and complained to the refs (without receiving a tech of course) and according to some more talented lip readers, said "I'm going to fuck that nigga up."
Obviously, LeBron didn't F up anybody and when asked about the "threat" after the game, a calm Morris said, “I know for a fact he wasn’t talking to me. You can quote me on that.”
LeBron did finish with a game-high 27 points on 12 of 18 shooting, grabbed 6 boards, dished out 3 assists and had 3 steals in the 17 point win.

]]>Throughout the months after declaring for draft, Marcus, the 2011 Big 12 Player of the Year, had been projected to be picked before Markieff, the more understated of the two on-and-off the court.
Going into training camp, many said that Marcus could be in the starting lineup at the 3 in no time. However, that is no longer going to be the case.
The Houston Rockets have made the decision to send Morris to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League to allow him to play full time, giving Morris' to Patrick Patterson, Chandler Parsons, and Terrence Williams.
When asked about the move, Rockets GM Daryl Morey, explained why Marcus may not yet be 'league ready'.
"Our focus for Marcus is to work on his defense and his offense at the three."
It is apparent that the team is looking to have Marcus work on his small forward ability-- his likely future spot if he makes a comeback.
Side note to all-- The 'understated' twin, Markieff Morris, had 16 points & 9 assists against the Warriors Monday afternoon, helping his team defeat Golden State with a 102-91 victory.
