Paul George is nice but Playoff P is ruthless!

How ruthless? Ask Utah Jazz Royce O'Neale, who played 20 minutes on Sunday and only had one point and a highlight of him getting crossed by P (1:46 mark in this video) to show for it. And definitely ask his teammate, Slow-Mo Joe Ingles, who got called a "bitch ass" after P drilled one of his eight threes on his way to 36 points in GM1.

I'm not saying P doesn't like the Utah Jazz fan favorite but this isn't the first time he and Ingles have exchanged sweet nothings.

Back in December, after a couple seconds of the two bumping each other in the opening seconds of a game, George shoved Ingles out of bounds and gave him a Kobe-worthy death stare. The ref got between the two to make sure a "modern day NBA fight" didn't happen.

This wasn't the only Ingles incident that OKC fans remember.

During the first meeting between the Thunder and Jazz this season, Ingles hit a three in the face of rookie Terrance Ferguson (who played for Ingles' hometown Adelaide 36ers instead of college ball) and let him know about it down the court. I couldn't read his lips but I'm sure he didn't call the future dunk champ a "bitch ass."

Ingles was also hit with a $15,000 fine for hitting Steven Adams in the balls in the same game. After this hit and multiple kicks from Draymond Green in 2016, I hope Adams still has the ability to create little Aquamen.

With a little more than four minutes left in the third quarter of Sunday's Thunder and Trailblazers game, Carmelo "I like to curse when I rebound" Anthony was a part of basketball history: He made a bucket, got the and-1 call and then was....ejected?! This is where my bookie friend runs off a list of 100 reasons why the NBA (with about $5 billion in revenue) is rigged (the sports betting industry is believed to be worth at least a trillion dollars).

"I've never seen, in the history of the game, a guy gets an and-1' play and then get ejected from the game," Thunder coach Billy Donovan said after the 103-99 loss. “That’s probably something you’ve got to talk to the league about.”

Here's what happened: On his way to scoring the bucket, Melo's elbow made contact with Jusuf Nurkic, who laid dead on the ground for almost a minute after the contact and foul on Melo. The refs decided to review the play and change it to a flagrant 2 foul on Melo. The "historic" call meant an early shower for Melo.

Here's the explanation crew chief Rodney Mott gave for the call.

"We deemed that the contact was excessive and that it was not a natural basketball move where he seeks out Nurkic, hits him in the face with an elbow and goes back to the basket."

When asked about the ejection, Melo stayed classy and chose not to rip the refs.

“I thought it was the wrong call to make, to be honest with you. But just take it. They called it,” he said. “Ain’t no need to overreact to it. I’m pretty sure a lot of people seen it. People saw it. I’m pretty sure people’s opinion is in favor of the way that I think. So we’ll see what happens. There’s nothing we can do about it now. I just hope the league look at it and do the right thing about it.”

A rapid eye twitching Russell Westbrook wasn't as nonchalant about the officiating he considered "bullshit."

“They don’t referee the same way all the time. They pick and choose when they want to do it which is not fair in my opinion. I’ve been in this league for a while and I’m able to see and understand what’s right and what’s wrong but I can see is blatant shit that’s not getting looked at in my opinion. Like, you get hit, you got to look at everything and need to take a look at it.”

On Melo's ejection.

“It was nonsense, man. You can’t get kicked out for some nonsense like that,” Westbrook said. “Being able to go to the basket, protecting himself. Guy got hit, that’s fine. He got up. The crowd reacted. They made a play, kicked him out of the game. That’s unacceptable in my opinion. That’s not worthy of getting kicked out the game. But it is what it is.”

Paul George on Melo's ejection.

“I thought it was crazy. I didn’t think they could do that, review a play that they called an and-one, call it back,” he said. “I thought the officials was overturned by the crowd, them showing the replay. Didn’t look like nothing illegal or Melo did anything intentional. He got contact going to the rim, finished the play. Should’ve been an and-one. It’s crazy that it was an ejection flagrant on that play. Especially when Russ just got dinged right in front of them and they didn’t call anything.”

And Andre Roberson.

“It’s unbelievable, man,” Thunder wing Andre Roberson said of the play. “I thought he made a basketball move, to be honest. I guess when the refs look at it, they see something else but I don’t think he did it intentional. That’s one thing I think refs gotta get better in is trying to realize where a player is coming from, what he’s thinking at the time. They missed two calls before that, so it’s whatever.”

We all laughed earlier in the year when Paul George was on Jimmy Kimmel and read a mean tweet that said, "Personally I think Paul George could be traded for like hallf a bag of saltine crackers." Everybody but Pacers fans laughed on Friday when the the Thunder traded Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis for Paul George; I'm not saying Dipo and the son of a legend are saltine crackers but they aren't exactly Ritz crackers and Paul George is a Ritz (with the best hairline in the league).

Even though OKC might just be a temporary one-year stop until George finally makes La La Land his year round residence, it led to a lot of excitement in OKC and one great tweet from their police.

Gerald Henderson was doing everything he could to piss off Paul George on Monday night.

Midway through the fourth quarter of the Pacers and 76ers game, Henderson pulled George to the ground hoping to bait the refs into calling a foul on George. The refs called a foul on Henderson and both he and George were given techs for basically just staring at each other.

Then with a little more than three minutes in regulation, George elbowed Henderson in the back after a bucket. Henderson took exception to the hit and hit George in the face on a drive. The refs hit Henderson with a flagrant foul type 2 and Paul George with a technical for once again staring at Henderson.

"We warned (the refs) all night what (Henderson) was going to do, stuff he was doing and they allowed the shit" George said. "He was throwing jabs, throwing punches at my stomach all night and I didn't retaliate until late in the game when they weren't doing shit about it. So he pulled me down and I get double tech for doing nothing. And then he throws an elbow at my neck and I get another tech for nothing. I have no respect for the officiating. It was a shitty officiating job.

"For whatever reason he doesn't like getting scored on by me," Said George when asked if he had any history with Gerald. "Every time he's at home I guess that's when he feels confident. He's sweet on the road but at home is when he gets some nuts.

Here's Henderson's side of the story.

"He elbowed me in the back and I elbowed him coming back down the other end," Henderson said. "As I came off the screen I knew contact was coming so I tried to bump him. I didn't try to hit him in the face, but that's exactly what happened."

Lance Stephenson compared his return to the Indiana Pacers to Michael Jordan’s return to the Bulls. On Tuesday, Lance reminded the Pacers why he just might be the Michael Jordan of SMH and Shaqtin’ moments by ending an 18-point victory over the Raptors, who blew a 19-point first half lead, with a layup that almost caused a mini-brawl.

“I was caught in the moment.” Said Stephenson, who put up 12 points, 3 assists, 3 threes, 2 assists in his first home game with the Pacers. “I just want to say sorry to them. I didn’t mean no harm. The crowd was chanting me on and I just wanted to do it for the fans.”

He might not have intended any harm with his "for the fans" bucket but DeMar DeRozan and P.J. Tucker definitely wanted to cause some harm to him and definitely sounded like they aren’t going to accept an apology.

"Tasteless," Tucker said after the game. "Classless. There's nowhere in the league for that.

"Nobody care about his reputation. I could care less. I don’t even know who he is. He’s happy he just got back in the league."

Ouch!

"It's just being a professional." Said a less angry sounding DeMar DeRozan. "I don't care who you are or how you feel or what's going on. It's just the right way of playing basketball."

When asked what he said to Lance after the layup, DeRozan paused and smiled. A reporter responded by asking if he could give a cleaned up version of what was said. he replied, "I got fined already for the tech."

Lance’s teammate, Paul George, who scored 18 of his game-high 35 in the third quarter, admitted Lance shouldn't have made the lay-up but had some high-praise for the man called Born Ready.

"Lance knows better," he said. "That's like a cardinal rule to not lay the ball up when you up. But he did it; it's the reason why Lance is Lance. We appreciate him, man. Everything he does for this organization. He comes out here and he works his butt off."

For some reason, the group of elite NBA All-Stars look worried about playing the guys that look like the guys I play against at LA Fitness. I think they should be afraid of getting electrocuted.

I can't bring up Mortal Kombat and basketball and not show this.

Pacers' All-Star Paul George suffered one of the worst looking leg injuries I've ever seen during Friday's USA Basketball Showcase at the Thomas & Mack Center in Vegas. With a little more than nine minutes left in the game, he suffered a right leg, open tibia-fibula fracture. Out of respect for Paul George and his family, Coach K canceled the rest of the game after the accident occured.

According to a statement by USA Basketball, George was transferred to Sunrise Hospital in Vegas where he underwent successful surgery to fix the fracture. He is expected to remain hospitalized for approximately three days.

Our prayers go out to him and his family and we are wishing him a speedy recovery.

After feasting on the Miami Heat with 24 points and 11 boards in a game 6 victory, Roy Hibbert was feeling pretty loose during the post game press conference where he made two comments that will guarantee a phone call and bill from the front office of the NBA.

With Jason Collins' coming out party still fresh in the media and public's head, his light "no homo" and obviously no offense comment will generate a little controversy.

“There was what -- was it Game 3 here? I really felt that I let Paul down in terms of having his back when LeBron was scoring in the post or getting to the paint, because they stretched me out so much. No homo.”

Later on in the interview, when asked about why he wasn't give more recognition in the Defensive Player of the Year voting, Roy, looking like it was his first curse ever, vented an answer that he knew would also put a stern face on David Stern.

You know what, because y'all ?mother fuckers don't watch us play throughout the year, to tell you the truth. That's fine. I'm going to be real with you. And I don't care if I get fined. You know what, we play, we're not on TV all the time. Reporters are the ones that are voting. And it is what it is. If I don't make it, that's fine. I'm still going to do what I have to do.

I'm glad he's fine with the upcoming fine because it's coming but the real concern and story for Roy and the Pacers is so is LeBron James and hopefully his teammates in Game 7. ? Wade & Bosh struggled again combining for only 15 points while Bosh only made 1 of 8 shots and was the victim of a nasty facial by Paul George. ?If the Heat want to win Game 7, LeBron, Wade and Bosh better come with their best. No homo to that whole paragraph just for the over sensitive mofos venting about Roy's jokes and vents post JC (Jason not Jesus).

In the final seconds of the third quarter of Game 2, PG13 blew past LeBron James then threw down a nasty XXX rated facial over the Birdman, who tried to take flight but was grounded. The contrast of expressions and reactions from the Pacers bench and the stunned Miami Heat crowd was classic. The dunk was the dunk of the playoffs so far and sure to also become a classic we will revisit on it's anniversary.
