If that isn't enough drama, the game had just been stopped for 15 mins (with 40 secs remaining) and the players exited the gym after the lights were cut and a circuit blew.
Charlie Moore finished with 29 points, 4 assists and Lovett finished with 25 points.

Jamal McDowell Hits Game Winner in Chicago Red-West Title

#10-ranked Chicago Orr’s senior guard Jamal McDowell nailed a 3 at the buzzer to upset host #2 Whitney Young HS 50-47 to win the Chicago Public League’s coveted, Red-West title.
Whitney Young entered the game with just 2 losses this season: last week’s 3-point loss to Simeon (see Ballislife video) and an overtime road loss to Montverde Academy in Florida, both nationally-ranked powerhouses.
The physical game was close throughout as Orr Academy led 28-27 at halftime. The game was tied 37-37 after 3 quarters.
McDowell, who also stars on the football field, finished with 11 points, 4 assists. Top junior Jahlil Okafor led all scorers with 22 points.

6'2 Morris Dunnigan NASTY Poster Dunk ALL Over 6'9 Cliff Alexander! Brings The House DOWN at Pontiac Holiday Tourney

The 82nd annual Pontiac Holiday Tournament (Pontiac, IL) is the nation's oldest.
Each December, huge crowds of high school hoops fans flock to this small midwestern town (pop. 12,000 ) where HS basketball legends are made.
While the best performer of the tournament was Cliff Alexander (Chicago Curie 2014), the most memorable play (perhaps in Pontiac history according to some locals), was this play by Joliet West (Joliet, IL) 6'2 senior guard Morris Dunnigan.
Down 14 at the half, Dunnigan tied the game going coast to coast and dunking over 6-9 Curie star center Cliff Alexander. Scoring 15 in the 3rd quarter, Dunnigan finished with 25 points.
Curie went on to win the game, finishing 3rd in the Tourney (after narrow loss to Chicago Simeon in semis).

8th grade star Ben Coupet Jr. completes the Dunk 3-point play against Prarie Hills as part of Thorpe's Real Deal Holiday Classic at Collins on Chicago's West Side. Coupet Jr. plays for Chicago's Beasley Academic Center (D Rose's elementary school).
