The 5th Annual Ballislife All-American Game presented by U.S. Army in Long Beach, Calif., will feature many of the nation’s top high school boys basketball players. The national high school all-star game is set to take place May 2 at Long Beach City College’s Hall of Champions Gymnasium (3931 Faculty Ave. Long Beach, Calif. 90808).
The 2015 BIL A-A Game begins at 8:00 pm EST and will be televised live on CBS Sports. It will be preceded by the The BIL Slam Dunk Contest presented by Eastbay beginning at 5:15 pm EST.
The 2015 edition of the BIL All-American Game figures to be its best collection of talent yet. Scheduled to make his only national all-star game appearance at the event is 7-foot Thon Maker, one of the most viral talents in recent high school basketball lore. After reclassifying to the Class of 2015 during the high school season, Maker is already projected as a top prospect for the 2016 NBA Draft.
At least 16 players who will earn All-American acclaim this season from reputable organizations are scheduled to participate. Eleven were named McDonald's or Jordan Brand All-Americans.
The game will also feature eight local Southern California products along with nine Pac-12 recruits. The locals include USC recruits Benny Boatwright (Village Christian, Sun Valley, Calif.) and Chimezie Metu (Lawndale, Calif.), Arizona-bound Chance Comanche (Beverly Hills, Calif.), San Diego St.-bound Jeremy Hemsley (Damien, La Verne, Calif.), Notre Dame-bound Rex Pflueger (Mater Dei, Santa Ana, Calif.), Oregon St.-bound Stevie Thompson Jr. (Bishop Montgomery, Torrance, Calif.) and Oregon-bound Tyler Dorsey (Maranatha, Pasadena, Calif.). The BIL A-A game will also mark the return of Arizona-bound Justin Simon, who previously prepped at Temecula Valley (Temecula, Calif.) and explosive point guard Marcus Lovett Jr., who attended San Gabriel (Calif.) Academy before playing his senior year in Chicago.
Past participants in the Ballislife All-American Game include Nick Johnson (Arizona/Rockets), Jahii Carson (Arizona St/Overseas), Jordan Adams (UCLA/Memphis Grizzlies), Aquille Carr (Overseas/Streetball phenomenon), Jabari Brown (Missouri/Los Angeles Lakers), early NBA Draft entry candidates Stanley Johnson (Arizona), Kevon Looney (UCLA), Glenn Robinson III (Michigan/76ers) and Zach LaVine (UCLA/Minnesota Timberwolves).
In 2013, Lavine won the Ballislife Slam Dunk Contest with one of the best high school dunking exhibitions in recent memory which also served as a prelude to him capturing the 2015 NBA All-Star Game dunk contest title.
The BIL Slam Dunk Contest presented by Eastbay begins at 3:15 pm PT and the 2015 game begins at 5:00 pm PT.

]]>MVP Cheick Diallo, an undecided 6-foot-9 forward from Mali and Our Savior New American School on Long Island led the game with 18 points (8-14) and 10 rebounds as the EAST defeated the WEST 111-91 in the 38th annual McDonald's All American Game at Chicago's United Center. Other stars for the East included Diamond Stone (Maryland commit) who scored 14 points (7-9) and Antonio Blakeney (LSU) who scored 14 points.
Uncommitted 6'8 forward Brandon Ingram from North carolina was impressive as he paced the West, scoring 13 of his 15pts in the first half. His teammate Allonzo Trier (Arizona) finished with 17 points.
The lone representative of the host state Illinois was Villanova-bound Jalen Brunson. Son of former McDonald's All American Rick Brunson, Jalen added 6 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists off the bench for the West.
Perhaps the most memorable play of the night featured 7ft Stephen Zimmerman dunking on his defender quickly followed by his teammate Carlton Bragg (Kansas) throwing down a windmill, electrifying his teammates and the crowd.

]]>The post Ivan Rabb & Paris Austin BETTER Than Perfect As They SHOCK Bishop Gorman!!! appeared first on www.ebooksnet.com.
]]>In basketball’s extensive glossary of useless cliches, the “perfect game” maybe the most meaningless of all. It’s a subjective term that is impossible to define. Yet Paris Austin and Ivan Rabb would have to pull off that perfect game in order for their O’Dowd Dragons to stop Bishop Gorman, a program brimming with D1 talent. The superb senior duo provided a tremendous performance, perfect to some for sure, as they collectively responded to pivotal moments with one spectacular response after another.
In the game’s opening moments it appeared that Rabb and Bishop Gorman’s talented 7 footer Stephen Zimmerman were going to give the packed crowd at Newark Memorial a head-to-head battle to remember. They traded buckets while displaying levels of agility no one of their size should attempt, much less be able to complete with regularity. However, as the first half rolled on, it became obvious Rabb’s game would be at a far different level than anyone else. Whether it was his hometown fans bringing him to another level or Zimmerman’s teammates decision not to feed their top-ranked big man, by the half’s conclusion it became abundantly clear the evening would feature only one star on stage in the paint. Rabb finished the first half with 19 points, 8 rebounds and his team locked at 30-30 with one of the nation’s top-ranked teams.
When Rabb wasn’t locked in a battle of finesse with Zimmerman, he was in a far more physical battle with Duke commit Chase Jeter. O’Dowd’s big star showed off his full range throughout the Prep2Prep Norcal Tipoff’s final game of the evening, spinning by Zimmerman for a fadeaway floater on one possession and drop-stepping into vicious reverse dunks on Jeter the next. With each display of interior superiority, the East Bay crowd got a little bit louder and began to taste the possible upset.
While Rabb was steady all night long on his way to a game high 28 points and 20 rebounds, his partner in crime Austin picked his spots with stellar decision making. Throughout the night Austin displayed an uncanny ability to almost sense the crowd’s energy. Each time they would begin to quiet and relax into their chair, he would to fly into the lane and make another phenomenal pass or scooping layup and the entire gymnasium would be back on its feet.
It was with that impeccable timing that Austin lead the Dragons on their second half run that blew the game wide open. Behind multiple steals from himself and Astion Walker, the team went on an 8-0 run that took a tie game and eventually made it a double-digit O’Dowd lead. Bishop Gorman never recovered from the onslaught as the home team’s perfect answer of Rabb and Austin cruised through most of the 4th quarter to a 63-55 victory.
