Check out 6'6" wing DJ Myers AAU mixtape as he tries to proves he's the most slept on wing in the #Hoopstate. Myers game is very versatile as he's able to post up smaller defenders in the paint, knock down jumpers from midrange to the three, and put the ball on the deck. He played with Team Wall the last two seasons on the travel circuit and was able to gain offers from schools like Western Carolina, Towson, TN Tech, UNCG, among others. DJ will be finishing his senior season at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia.

This is a short recap of Team Wall throughout the 2016 summer. A collaboration of highlights from players ranging from the 15u team up to the 17u squad that competed on the adidas silver circuit. Leading the way for Team Wall were brothers Malik Johnson and Telligence Johnson (Fayetteville, NC). Malik & Telligence Johnson: Dreamville's Dynamic Duo is TOUGH!

There wasn't a more entertaining duo in the #HoopState than the Johnson brothers from Fayetteville. Dreamville's "Dynamic Duo" led their Terry Sanford Bulldogs to a 30-2 record and an appearance in the NCHSAA 3A State Championship a year after winning the crown in 2015. Sophomore Malik Johnson is the point guard and play maker of the two. His brother Telligence is the high-flyer and supreme athlete of the show. They'll both be running in the Adidas Silver Circuit this AAU season with Team Wall so be out the lookout for more highlights from the next up from Dreamville!

J Cole Watches Kyran Bowman Score 45 in Playoff Loss in Dreamville

Terry Sanford hosted Havelock High School in the 4th round of the NCHSAA playoffs in their hometown of Fayetteville, NC. Due to such high ticket demand, the game was moved from Terry Sanford High School over to Fayetteville State in order to allow more fans to enjoy the show. Two of the most undervalued point guards in the region clashed with senior point guard Kyran Bowman and sophomore Malik Johnson. Both of these guys traveled together with their Team Wall AAU program, however, they did play in difference age brackets. Bowman did what he has been doing all season long, dominating with his high energy and high basketball IQ. He finished the game with 45 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists while his counterpart Malik Johnson finished with 19 points and some incredible defense of his own. Terry Sanford took the win 82-76. Be sure to keep an eye on Terry Sanford for the remainder of the NCHSAA state playoffs as they will look to go back-to-back in the 3A division. Havelock (Havelock, N.C.) point guard Kyran Bowman couldn’t make the Fayetteville, N.C., leg of J. Cole’s Forest Hills Drive tour last August when the hip hop star famously surprised his hometown with performances from Jay Z and Drake.

“I really wanted to go too,” Bowman, a senior, recalled. “I figure since I couldn’t make it to his show I’d just put on a show for him.”

With J. Cole looking on, Bowman scored 45 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out six assists, but fell short in an 82-76 loss to Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, N.C.) Tuesday night in the NCHSAA 3A playoffs.

“It was a tough loss,” Bowman said. “I just tried to do everything possible for my team to get the win, but we came up a little short. It’s a tough one.”

Still, Bowman admitted that putting on a show for one his “favorite rappers” offered some consolation.

“When I heard he was watching I did get a little more excited,” Bowman said. “I wanted the win, no doubt, but it was cool that he came out to watch the game. He made this one to remember.”

John Wall Presents: The Launch | Year 1 Documentary of Team Wall AAU

In 2015, Raleigh native and NBA All-Star John Wall had the vision. A vision and an idea to give back to the community that helped raise and mold him into the person he is today. Wall officially announced the establishment of the Team WALL AAU program in February of 2015 and after hitting 9 cities in 5 months, he created a lifetime of opportunities.

Appointing his former coach and one of his childhood mentor's, Kendrick Williams, was the first step. With the AAU season less than two months away, Kendrick and Team Wall wasted no time. The first piece of the puzzle was point guard Jalen Harris. Harris embodied the vision Williams had for Team Wall with his quick handles and crafty play. With his floor general locked in, it was now time for firepower. Not many had heard of Havelock High School's Kyran Bowman, but after following a suggestion Williams had established the Team Wall back-court. After a breakout junior season, Jalen Johnson of Wesleyan Christian had everyone's interest. The lefty, "Bull City" product decided to run with Team Wall and gave the team their high-flyer. The addition of Boo Williams sharpshooter Scott Spencer midway through the AAU season would prove to be the piece Team Wall was missing. Established shooter Rob Whitfield had been injured for a majority spring/summer, so the addition of Spencer came at a critical time. Osi Smart, Telligence Johnson, Matt Elmore & Mike Pippins rounded out the Team Wall squad as they hit Dallas, Indy, DC, Atlanta, Augusta, Vegas and more!

Before it was all said and done, Team Wall Had garnered over 30 scholarship offers among it's 17u team. Scott Spencer became the first Team Wall player to commit as he chose Clemson to further his basketball career and education. Not far behind was Jalen Johnson, as he later committed to the University of Tennessee. Matt Elmore later decided to stick close to home and attend University of North Carolina Wilmington. In their first year Team Wall was able to accomplish the sight set forth by Director and Head Coach Kendrick Williams. Players got exposure, earned themselves scholarships, and grew not only as basketball players but also as young men. Here is Scott Spencer, a 6'6" shooting guard from Suffolk, VA. Spencer attends Blue Ridge School and is one of two ACC commits to suit up for the Barons this season. The addition of Spencer in July was key in Team Wall's second half success as his 3-point shooting gave them another threat from behind the arc. Spencer is also Team Wall's first ever commitment as he has committed to play at Clemson University in the 2016 season.
