Kwe Parker and Jalen Johnson of Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina were the best dunking duo the state has seen since Duece Bello and Ike Nwamu back in 2011. Kwe Parker is a 6'2" combo guard from Fayetteville, NC and has been considered by many to be one of the highest high school flyers in the past decade. Parker played his first two years of high school basketball alongside top 2016 point guard Dennis Smith Jr at Trinity Christian in Fayetteville. In his first year at Wesleyan he also had the chance to play with current Duke freshman and top ranked 2016 big man, Harry Giles. Jalen Johnson is a 6'6" high flying lefty from Durham, NC. A knock down set shooter from deep and unreal explosiveness makes Johnson one of the more intriguing "under-the-radar" players in the 2016 class. Johnson joined Wesleyan as a sophomore and has stated that head coach Keith Gatlin is one of the main reasons for his current success. Gatlin is a former ACC & NBA guard and has won two state championships at Wesleyan Christian Academy.

Both Kwe Parker & Jalen Johnson decided to sign with the University of Tennessee where they are currently freshman. It may take them both some time to acclimate to the speed, strength, and consistency of the college game but once they get comfortable; they should be big time pieces for the Vols in the SEC. Check out their senior year mixtape, which also has some clips featuring some of the their best AAU dunks and tune in all season long to track their progress!

The University of Tennessee and head coach Rick Barnes have a WORKHORSE coming in next season in the form of Grant Williams. Williams accomplished it all this season, leading his Providence Day Chargers (30-3) to the NCISAA 3A State Championship, the #8 ranking nationally, and a trip to the Dick's Sporting Goods National Championship. What he may lack in size at the position, (6'7" - 230 lbs), he makes up for in strength and skill. Williams will bully his way through opponents for the bucket or he can stretch the floor with a three ball if needed. On the circuit, Williams suited up for the CP3 All Stars along side fellow #HoopState alum, Harry Giles. Look for Williams and the rest of the Volunteer class to make noise next season as Barnes has locked up 4 players from the #HoopState!

Kwe Parker WINS City of Palms Dunk Contest with PERFECT SCORE!

Last year Kwe Parker gave the crowd a tease of what he could do on the court. This year, the high-flying Tennessee commit SHUT DOWN the City of Palms Dunk Contest with six ridiculous dunks! He started off with the "John Wall" dunk performed by Wall himself in the NBA All Star Dunk Contest. It was his signature "Scoop" dunk that had the crowd jump out of their seats!
