Jalen Lecque is off to a hot start with his new Brewster Academy basketball squad. After opening the season 5-0, Brewster faced their toughest test when they faced Lee (from Maine) in a home game.
Both teams were held under 70 points and it was a single-digit contest in the final minute. In the end, the balanced Brewster squad's depth proved too much for Lee.
Jalen Lecque threw down 2 of his most electrifying dunks to date this season (though it's early)! Alonzo Gafney and Anthony Walker played well around the rim at both ends.
Brewster Basketball this season will be MUST SEE TV for basketball fans!

Jalen Lecque guided Brewster Academy to a comfortable double-digit win in their home opener (Brewster Invitational) vs Hoosac School. The 5-star NC State commit (Point guard) originally from the Bronx (NY) has received added attention lately because of speculation that he might go straight from Brewster to the NBA.
Lecque has said it's up to NBA teams to decide if he's ready as he's said he's prepared to play college ball.

NC State Commit Jalen Lecque might be Brewster Academy's best-known player. But the entire roster is stacked!
National prep school powerhouse Brewster put on a show in their first game on US soil (after opening in the Bahamas).
Jamal Mashburn (16 points) dunked on a defender, 6'11 Texas commit Kai Jones was a force at both ends (16 points) and the Concord, NH crowd was loving it!
6'8 Anthony Walker (Miami) added 16 points. Alonzo Gaffney (Ohio State) scored 11 points.
In the end Brewster Academy (4-0) defeated Redemption Christian Academy 99-75.
The game was played at Merrimack Valley HS where Brewster Coach Smith graduated. At Brewster he's coached players like Donovan Mitchell (Jazz), TJ Warren (Suns) and Will Barton (Nuggets).
