Grayson Boucher aka The Professor is a 5’10″ basketball player who has never played a minute in the NBA but has a bigger following than most of the players in the league. The latest video from Grayson "The Professor" Boucher should bring back some great memories for Streetball fans of the late 90s and early 00s. In it, the Professor meets up with streetball legend Aaron "AO" Owens and a future ankle breaker student of his, Dakota McCaughan, in North Philly. When discussing the streetball legend, I always have to bring up the fact that Owens was also a Division II All-American, played ball overseas and in the D-League because of the fact so many people underrate the talent that was on the original And 1 mixtapes.  He never made it to the league but he had the respect from players in it.

Keeping with the Philly theme, here's Owens trying to come up with his list of top 5 Philly basketball players: Wilt Chamberlain, Hank Gathers and his high school and college teammate Bo Kimble, Kobe Bryant (if you consider Kobe being from Philly), Kareem Town and Brian "Sad Eye" Watson at #1.  You can learn more about Watson in this great piece from Slam, which mentions his 10 threes in the second half of a Shaq charity game with Rafer Alston and Booga Smith in 1998.

Spider-Man is back! Yeah I know Marvel just released another reboot of Spider-Man just a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty damn entertaining -- I would only rank Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 over it. But, I'm talking about SpiderMan Basketball, the online series with Grayson "The Professor" Boucher, a cameo by Michael Airdogg Stewart and a bunch of random park ballers with swollen ankles.

What makes this episode (9!!!) so amusing is it's more about Peter Parker getting his heart broken by #WCW favorite and NBA2KTV host Rachel DeMita than it is about Spidey breaking ankles.

5'10" Chance Greene might not get picked first in your local area pick-up game. He also might not get picked second or third or even fourth, reality is, Chance Greene is not an intimidating looking basketball player. However, reality also is, 5'10" Chance Greene can flat out ball. In the past, high school hoops in North Carolina has been about the high flyers, the freak athletes, the men among boys. Now, with Charlotte native and reigning NBA MVP Steph Curry blazing the big stage, a grassroots shift has begun. A shift that includes shooters with quick releases and a nice handle that can consistently get you three points instead of just two. The same type of players that draw defenses out, opening up the lane for the post guys, and demand help-side defense to step up allowing for other shooters to get open. A player with flash and flare that ultimately gets the job done and wins basketball games. This is the type of player Chance Greene is. A little turnover prone at times, Greene continues to learn the game. Alongside 6'10" teammate and future UVA big, Jay Huff, Voyager Academy finished this season in the NCHSAA with a 32-4 record en route to winning a 1A State Championship. According to MaxPreps.com, Greene finished the season averaging 15 points and just under 6 assists per game. Greene is getting DIII looks but I'd say there should be a solid DII roster spot with his name on it. WAKE UP COACHES, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

Earlier this week, Michael Jordan said the Hornets biggest pick-up this summer will probably end up being Jeremy Lin.

"We just got Jeremy Lin, who I think is going to be our biggest acquisition," said Jordan to the Xinhua News Agency. "His penetration, his shooting capability, his point guard savvy, he can really pass the basketball, his energy about the game of basketball."

So far, the 27 year old is proving the GOAT correct and has been a standout for the Hornets during preseason. And as much as I tried to give all the credit to Lin's hairstyles, he's getting too many rave reviews for the work he put in this summer and the results of it so far for me to be crediting the gel in his hair.

"If you put in the work, it'll produce results. Jeremy went ridiculously hard this summer." said The Professor who also worked out with Lin. "Way harder than people know. And in the couple pre season games this year it showed. Even MJ, the greatest player to lace 'em up acknowledged it early."

Lin isn't the only NBA guard to receive a few tips from the "super human dribbling machine," last month at the Power 106 Celeb Game, the Professor showed the Lakers D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson a few moves including one he calls "The Moses Move."

But back to Lin, it's good to see him back to getting compliments and praise and hopefully all of the hard work and tips he got this summer - including the dance ones from Riley Curry - will pay off this season.

Class was in session during last week's Power 106 Celeb Game when streetball legend and special guest coach Grayson Boucher aka The Professor was showing Lakers' future stars D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson one of his (many, many) signature moves: The baseline behind the back one in the featured video is called "The Moses Move."

When they weren't learning some new handles tricks, Russell, Clarkson and teammate Julius Randle were having some "high-flying" fun as they tried to dunk on each on the kiddie rim.

Ballup's Grayson Boucher, better known to most of you all a ankle-breaking And1 legend "The Professor," didn't get his nickname from?teaching kids lessons off the court but here's some words of advice from the man that deserves a podium full of full of young kids and ballers that want to be successful.

Young, decent and elite hoopers pay attention... 1 of a few major differences between players who succeed in the game(college/pro) and players who have just good high school careers is that the players who succeed bring a high level of intensity to EVERY GAME.

Don't be the guy who only brings his A game in certain games then in other games is just average. Those are the players who you hear say,?"I was killing so and so and he ended up going pro. Shoot, they should have gave me a shot." The truth is NO they shouldn't have. You had your chance and were not consistent. You failed to bring it EVERY game. You have to be able to have a GOOD or GREAT game 80% or 90% of the time to be elite and get opportunities in this game. Thats 1 major difference between the dude who just plays highschool and the dude who plays juco.. the dude who only plays juco and the dude who goes Division 1... the dude who only plays Division 1 and the dude who plays over seas.. ect.

There's guys with decent potential who will play against elite players and go 300% all the sudden because they know the elite player is tough. They end up hitting shots they never hit, pull of moves they never usually can. D up twice as hard. But little do they know, if they can do this one game that means they have the ability to bring that intensity EVERY game. But the reality is most fail to do that. It takes extra time in the gym, extra jumpers, have to be in great shape, study the game, be willing to be uncomfortable. All things that AREN'T easy.

Conclusion: DONT be that guy. Bring your A game intensity EVERY game! You may not have a great game always but you'll give yourself a better shot at succeeding.

Not even a great ball handler like The Professor should be able to go between your legs twice within a 3 second span. ?It's not as embarrassing as ankle breaking move that has falling to the floor looking like somebody just shot you in the leg but you can come up with lots of excuses on a quick ankle breaker. ?It's tough to come up with excuses when somebody makes you look like a fool two times in a row. ?Shame on you.

This is what happened back in the 2003 NBA rookie/sophomore games when Jason Richardson, inspired by watching streetballer like the Professor on a few And1 Mixtapes, bounced the ball off of Carlos Boozer's head before hitting a 3 pointer.  Booze took exception to the streetball move and said it was disrespectful after the game.

No player has probably done this "disrespectful" but oh so awesome move to defenders around the world more than The Professor and during a Chinese Exhibition Tour (with Allen Iverson), class was in session as The Professor found the 6'8 Chinese version of Carlos Boozer and gave him a demonstration of the move. Like Boozer, the Chinese pro took exception and almost started an international riot between him and The Professor's Ballup teammates.

You might be thinking it's not that wise to throw the ball off the face of a frustrated defender, especially one that is much bigger than you, but The Professor has no fear and luckily for him is one lucky MF too because he once did this move on boxer Manny Pacquiao!  Yes, he threw the ball off the face of Manny Pacquiao.  I repeat, Yes, Grayson "The Professor" Boucher is still alive and on tour with Ballup and did not die after throwing the ball of the face of Manny Pacquiao.

I'm sure you hear this a lot or maybe you are the one saying it: Streetballers can't play "real ball" or "organized ball."

We could go on all day trying to define "real" and "organized" but a good majority of the best guys you see on those And1 mixtapes and the Ballup tour that you think can only dunk with no defense being played or do fancy dribbling tricks if a ref isn't calling anything, actually played college ball, overseas and in competitions where they outplayed "pro" players.

Hugh Jones aka Baby Shaq has a resume that includes averaging 20 & 10 in college, playing overseas, Red Bull King of the Rock championship and a MVP title from the Goodman League.  Aaron Owens aka AO was a Division II All-American and then played pro ball in Israel and the D-League.  Renaldo Johnson aka Violator played seven years overseas and helped his college team win a Southern Conference Championship. Anthony Pimble aka Mr Afrika helped his junior college team win two consecutive conference championships. Special FX played at St. Johns and the list goes on and on.

So what about Grayson Boucher aka The Professor? That 5'10 white kid that probably doesn't weigh more than 150 pounds even with a Spiderman suit on.  Well, the video above shows The Professor playing in a D1 pro game in China against CBA pros with CBA rules.  I would say 25 points and 5 assists in this game means he can play "real" or "organized" ball.

When we last left Grayson Boucher aka The Professor aka Peter Parker back in October, he was still killing ballers on the court while wearing his Spiderman outfit in Part 3 of the popular Spiderman plays Basketball series by Boucher and director Robert "Set Free" Monroe.  Last night on his website TheProfessorLive.com, Boucher dropped a teaser for Part4: Team Captain which comes out next Monday.

Grayson Boucher aka The Professor, has been breaking ankles and entertaining fans of basketball for over a decade via And1 Mixtapes, ESPN Streetball Shows and the Ballup Tour and TV Show for the past few years but it was this summer where Streetball's most recognizable face took it to another level by covering his face.? Grayson along with filmmaker Robert 'SetFree' Monroe punk'd a bunch of random ballers at basketball courts by filming them playing Grayson wearing a Spiderman outfit.? The two Spidey videos went viral and racked up over 20 million views on YouTube alone which is probably more views than Sam Raimi's Spider Man 3 received (yeah I know that movie grossed close to $900 million but it was a disappointment and halted the franchise for a while).

While he wasn't playing around with amateurs on local playgrounds, he was playing around with real talent during the Ballup Summer tour. Each week, Grayson was facing off against well known streetballers and players with college and overseas experience that were trying to get a contract with the streetball organization. The results weren't much different as the viral vids. Class was in session and The Professor was teaching Ankle Breakers 101 and giving us footage for mixes like Ankle Breakers Vol 2!

The internet went crazy back in June when the world found out that Spiderman had a nasty crossover and Peter Parker was really streetball great Grayson "The Professor" Boucher from the BallUp crew. The Professor is back as Spidey in Spiderman 1.5: The Workout.  This episode shows Spiderman working on his handles and shot at night.  I'm assuming to a drive-by spectator this scene would probably look more odd than the scene in Above the Rim when 2pac's brother is playing without a ball and slapping the backboard in the middle of the night.

Traveling from Los Angeles to New York, the team will kick off an exciting series of action-packed games on June 22, in Kansas City, MO and will wrap up with a championship game in conjunction with TD Jake’s Megafest festival in Dallas, TX on August 31.
