Earlier today we posted a video of Nik Stauskas of Michigan making 102 3-pointers in 5 minutes....a world record. Well Max Hooper (St. John's) got word of this record and decided to give it a go. According to the videos description on YouTube, it only took max a single try at the record to shatter the 102 mark with 108 3-pointers in 5 minutes. I'd like to see Max try a few more times to see what numbers he could get!

I’ll admit it, Carolina fans. When I drove down to Chapel Hill from Washington, DC, to write the cover story, I had to make a pit stop in Durham. I had to see Cameron. I was too much of a college basketball junkie not to check it out.

I double parked the car, put the blinkers on and then walked inside the arena. I roamed the court, sat in the bleachers and ogled the trophy case.

After about 30 minutes there, I jumped back in the car and drove to Chapel Hill. I perused the campus bookstore (there are Carolina-blue Jordan slippers for babies!), lost myself in the basketball museum and then reached the Smith Center.

In his final high school season, Guerrero finished by averaging nearly 30ppg as a senior. He started off the season committed to Western Kentucky, then de-committed and to now getting offers from some high major d1 schools. Most notable school right now is Oklahoma. He went through a few struggles other than just school choice. Guerrero likes to play with heart and go right at his opponent which led to injuring his shoulder early in the season, then again bruising it in the middle of the season. His goal of making a CIF championship run fell short as the St John Bosco Braves lost to Atascadero.

Cezar Guerrero plays on a modest team in St John Bosco. When I say modest I don't mean it as a diss to Bosco at all. What I mean is that Guerrero is the only D1 recruit on his team. While Mater Dei has a starting 5 of high major recruits as well as a bench of college recruits. Mater Dei was supposed to beat Bosco by 30, trust me I was telling people that before the game. Guerrero rallied his team to not just give 100% but 150% for the entire game. He led his team tirelessly into battle to only take an 8 point loss in a game that was constantly having the other team take the lead. I say all of this because people say Cezar is just a scorer. As a pg you need to lead, pick up your teammates and make them better. In this game Bosco played their hearts out, and Cezar almost beat Mater Dei on the offensive end by himself. He's a leader, and a pg that is not willing to back down. He's not only fighting an uphill battle, but he's running full speed up hill without stopping. "Ceeze the moment".
