Despite their lack experience and age, the U.S team was able to pull out their first ever win in the event against a tough French 20U squad (76-71) in front of big time scouts from the NBA, European Pro Leagues, etc. The U.S was led by 6’3” guard Rawle Alkins as he went 7-8 from the field (2-2 FT) for 18 points. Atkins showcased his ability to finish through contact while also nailing both 3 point attempts. Also contributing to the scoring effort for the U.S was lead guard Frank Jackson from Lone Peak HS (UT.) with 13 points and Hoopstate’s own Edrice “Bam” Adebayo with 12 points.
