Versatile 6-foot-6 Nojel Eastern is able to play both guard positions and small forward.
\nA point guard in a shooting guard's body, Eastern's strengths include his size, passing ability, court vision and improved ball-handling
\nWhile a mixtape might not show it, Nojel plays very unselfishly (sometimes to a fault) and is also a solid rebounder. The Evanston Township High School (near Chicago) guard has been on the radar since his freshman season, going 23-6 last season.
\nNojel averaged 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks for the season, earning many accolades including Two-time Central Suburban League All-Conference player, All-Tournament at King of Bluegrass (Kentucky), Sun Times All Area Team and Chicago Tribune All-State special mention.
\nIn 2016-17, the Wildkits are looking to play downstate for a state title after winning the Central Suburban League South a regional title last season.
\nConsidered a 4-star recruit in the Class of 2017 (Scout 90, Rivals 58, ESPN 78), Michigan, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, USC, Missouri, Michigan State, Seton Hall, Illinois, Purdue, UNLV, LSU, DePaul, Marquette, SLU, Northwestern, Xavier, Iowa State and more have all offered Eastern
\nNojel spent the Spring and Summer AAU season playing alongside future high major wing Brian Bowen and electrifying guard Alonzo Verge on Meanstreets (Chicago, IL) 17U squad on the national Nike\/EYBL circuit.
