In a league full of top draft picks and second year players hoping to have a breakout season, why is it not surprising to say one of the biggest standouts has been an undrafted player on the San Antonio Spurs?

The former MSU guard led the Utah Summer League in scoring with 21.3 points a game over three; 1.3 more points than #1 pick Markelle Fultz over two. On Sunday in the Vegas Summer League against the Markelle-less 76ers, Forbes dropped a Summer League high 35 points on 8 of 17 shooting from the field and 17 of 17 from the free throw line in 29 minutes of action. The 35 in the 101-95 win puts him on top of the list of Vegas scoring leaders and closer to a spot on the Spurs regular season roster.

The one black eye in his boxscore was his game-high 8 turnovers with only 3 assists but he didn't have any turnovers in his 31-point game against Jayson Tatum and the Celtics a few days ago. Congrats Spurs, it looks like you might have another gem on your bench.
