In episode No. 30 of our "In The Paint Show," Devin Ugland and Ronnie Flores go in on the upcoming NCAA live period (July 11-14), the only travel ball-based live period for July 2019 following the NCAA's sweeping changes to its recruiting calendar as a result of the federal investigation into widespread recruiting corruption.

With this upcoming weekend being so important for potential college prospects and their families, the fellas welcome four college coaches inside the paint - Jason Hart (USC), Ryan Badrtalei (UC Irvine), John Rillie (UC Santa Barbara) and Damion Hill (Cal Poly Pomona) - to discuss their approach to recruiting during a travel ball-based live period. Do they focus solely on the senior-to-be class (2020) or is there time to look at younger prospects? What do they look for in the prospects they are evaluating? What's the first things they notice when looking at a prospect for the first time or walking into a gym where they don't know the players? Are they concerned with bad evaluations or with missing out on prospects because two July live weekends with travel ball clubs has been removed?

With only one live period week in July for many prospects (minus the 73 players lucky enough to be invited to the USA Basketball Mini-Camp or that knew the process to participate in the NCAA Camps July 23-28), it goes without saying this upcoming weekend is super important. If you are a prospect or someone invested in the well-being of a potential college player, you don't want to miss this episode!
