The Players Tribune on Saturday morning. "I heard someone once say there comes a day when they tell us all that we can’t play anymore. We’re not good enough. Surplus to requirements. Too slow, maybe. When you’re a teenager with outsized dreams and a growing obsession, and someone tells you this ain’t gonna last forever, it’s scary. I never forgot it."

Something I'll never forget is when I first saw the #15 draft pick play some garbage minutes for the Suns during a TNT game in the 96-97 season. I remember thinking how fast and crafty he looked and how he would probably never get any minutes playing on a team with a still productive Kevin Johnson and All-Star Jason Kidd. I was right. Then after his second season, he was traded to the Mavs for a future 1st round pick and table scraps. The rest is history.

In honor of the five-time NBA assist leader, who is sitting behind only John Stockton and Jason Kidd on the all-time Assists leader list, here are a few of my favorite Nash moments.
